Chapter 14: Calle Crisologo
Stealing glances at him was like a natural thing for her to do. She can't help herself to peek at him. Tyler was listening to music on his phone with headphones while Ericson sleep soundly.
Upon arriving at the bus stop, it's already 8:30pm so they headed to the hotel where Ericson booked their rooms and checked in. After some time, they decided to go out and have their dinner together.
At Patty and Trixie's room, the ladies chatted for a while then prepared to sleep.
"Trix, the locals here said that it's wonderful to take some photo during dawn at "Calle Crisologo". would you like to go with me?" she asked her friend but she knew what will be her answer.
"Nope. You go ahead. I prefer to sleep till 8am. And don't dare to wake me up." Trixie cast a deadly look at her.
Patty smiled heplessly and wave her hand that means she won't dare to wake her up.
Patty woke up with the sound of her alarm the next day. It's still dark outside but she intended to wait at the Calle Crisologo for the perfect scenery at dawn.
She took a bath and dress up then grabbed her camera. She lean forward to Trixie and planted a kiss at her forehead then went outside.
Walking on the cobblestone streets with the historical Spanish features of the buildings and surroundings, Patty was mesmerized at the moment. It is worth the effort on getting up early to witness the peaceful place. Taking some photos of the place where the shops still closed, the street mostly quiet with the sounds of some tourists also wondering the place and the waking nature could only be heard.
Her camera captured a photo of a guy standing with his hands in his pockets and staring at her direction. She panicked when she recognize it was Tyler. 'What was he doing here alone?' she asked herself. She wave her hand towards him but he just confusedly stare at her without moving an inch.
"What's with the look Tyler?" Patty asked her. She now starting to wonder why was he just staring at her like he doesn't know her.
"You know my name?" his brows arched with confusion. He was sure that she never met this girl in front of him then why did she know his name. But somehow, she looked familiar to him.
She smile awkwardly then pulled her loose hair in despair. 'Shoot Patty! I didn't do my make up and wig! What will I do now?' She gritted her teeth and can't think straight. Nervousness over rule her system. Her hands are cold and bids of sweat starting to roll down her face.
"Have we met before?" Tyler asked again. He can see her sweat falling from her pale skin. With the urge to wipe it, he pulled out a handkerchief on his pocket then hand it to her.
She was surprise at his action. Giving a handkerchief in a stranger was so sweet. "umm t-thank you"she grabbed the napkin and she manage her mouth to speak and tried to compose herself. "I went to the school same as you on primary and secondary. You're kinda famous so that's why I knew your name." she explained trying to make herself believable.
"Oh I see. You have any companions?"
"yes. Well I have to go. I already captured some photos so I need to go back. See you around Tyler." Waving her hand and abruptly turned around, she didn't wait for him to respond. She can feel her feet wanted to fly away in a hurry.
