Chapter 9: Float Parade
They walked together on the silent street looking for a good spot to wait for the parade to start. When they reach the upper bottom of the street, they decided to stay there and wait. Trixie kept on yawning for she was still sleepy while Patty kept on stealing glances at Tyler. There's a time when she glanced at him, Tyler accidentally met her in the eyes and smiled that made her face blush.
"Hey Patty, I'm hungry" Trixie whispered to Patty's ears.
She looked at her bestfriend and whispered back, " I'm Mona now, remember."
Ericson saw them whispering at each other so he moves closer at Patty's back. " Care to share your topic ladies?" he said with a wide smile in his face.
"Girlie here was hungry." Patty was referring to Trixie.
"Stay here then, I'll go buy some handy breakfast." Tyler said and about to go when Ericson grabbed his wrist to stop him.
"I'll go with you." he said and turned to face the two ladies, " wait for us a bit and keep safe."
"okey."

While walking down the street, Ericson rest his left arm to Tyler's shoulder. "Hey bro, what do you think of Mona?"
"Huh?"
"She's pretty right?"
"yeah"
"Her mole under her left eye is eye catching."
"Are you interested in her?" Tyler face his friend to see his expression.
"Yes! Now I know that the saying was true."
"What saying?"
"Love at first sight bro. She kept on wondering in my mind since we met them yesterday. And ohh her smile melts my lonely heart" Ericson said with warmth in his voice.
"You're serious about here huh?" Tyler knew his friend is a playboy since secondary. He had several relationship already and worried that he would play Mona's feelings also. 'Why would I be worried if she got played?' With a sting in his heart, Tyler rest his left hand on his chest.
" I'm serious this time bro. Mona is one of a kind I may say." Ericson guaranteed his friend with a smile.
Tyler didn't talk anymore and proceed to walk.

After a few minutes, Patty saw the two guys coming back to their direction with a paper bags on their hands. She smiled at them and wave her hand.
Trixie grabbed the paper bag which Tyler handed to her and start pulling out the food in it. She ate the pancakes and sipped at her coffe without a care what's happening in the world.
Both Tyler and Ericson looked at each other when they saw Girlie munching the food immediately.
"Pardon my bestie. She's a food lover and she's really hungry." Patty explained to them when she saw their expression.
"It's okey. Let's eat then. The parade will soon to start." Tyler said.
The sidewalks started to filled with tourists and locals who will watch the float parade. There were news casters also reporting that the parade will start. The sun started to warm the day and the music starts to play.
There were 25 floats that participated at the event. One by one, each of the float have time to showcase there beauty. Each of them was decorated with different kinds of flower that covered the vihicle and made into their desired theme. They used vibrant colors to emphasized the beauty of their theme. Not only the tourists and locals were waiting for the vibrant and enchanting floats but also the artists that grace the festival.
