Chapter 9: The girl...and brandy..
"Oh! I know, it must have been simply too worrisome for you!" Lord Edward spoke empathatically. "Seing such a thing, early in the morning, even before having breakfast. Even I hate anything tiresome, happening to me before breakfast. It is a big disadvantage for a man, is not it?"
"Exactly my Lord! This is exactly what I mean. When I saw that horrific thing lying down, right there in my bath and that too stark naked, just except for a pair of those eye- glasses, I tell you my Lord, my stomach simply went bizzare. If you will excuse my expression, it just turned my stomach. Also, I am not such a strong person and also I suffer that sinking feeling seldom in the morning. I would often send the girl to fetch over a stiff brandy, for some or the other reaaon. Else, I really do not know, what might happen to me. I had felt so queer, even though I am anything but partial to spirits as a rule. So, I have made it a point to always keep a stock of brandy in my house, in case of an emergency situation, you see my Lord."
"Hmmm....That is actually a good decision on your part." The Lord Edward spoke up happily. "I must say, you are a very far- sighted man, Mr. Wilson. It is amazing what could a little nip will do, in case it is needed. Also, the less you are addicted to it, the more benefit it will do to you. Hope your girl is sensible enough? Huh? Otherwise, it is such a nuisanse to have a girl geeting unconscious and shouted all over the house, in such a situation."
