Chapter 13: Chapter 13: Do not show me your smug face
Staying in one place and not doing anything is kind of boring, while everybody is fighting, showing there might and evolving their skills, Skylar is in the center of the village doing nothing.
He is bored and is searching for a way to entertain himself, he didn't know what to do at this point, the boys will soon come back so training is out of the question.
After thinking for a little bit, he decided to write a book. A book is important because it helps us to gather knowledge and improves ourselves or it can be passed to the future generation and help them increase their knowledge.
But the real question is, what Kind of book will Skylar right? He is seriously thinking about it and many ideas are popping up in his head.
For example, he can write a storybook using the stories known on Earth. Some of them are really entertaining and can help me amass a fortune. Or I can write a Martial arts book showing skills and explaining how to train them.
The second option didn't seem like it would help him though because if he wrote about the techniques he uses his enemies will search for ways to counter it. That is if he decides to publish it, he can also write Skill books and give to people as rewards for achieving something.
Of course, before giving the book to anyone we will do a background check to see if the said person can be trusted.
As for Storybooks, Skylar can just write a good story from Earth and publish it. He can gain money from it and finally start his projects.
' It doesn't seem like the first is of use too ' Skylar thought! And he's right if it is money that he wants he can just steal it from another pirate crew or from the marines. No need to waste his time to write stories.
But the Skill book idea is feasible, it will also help by making members work harder to merit the books and maybe increase the loyalty of the members.
As he was thinking about what to do with his new idea Shin and Barry arrived
" Yo Sky, I brought their captain with me " Shin said putting down the marine captain in front of Skylar
" I have returned, my lord " exclaimed Barry kneeling down on the floor
" you can get up, so why aren't you with your teammates " Skylar asked
" They kicked me out saying that i'm too weak to be with them " said Barry getting up
" So they did that, if i remember correctly you were part of the group number 8 " Barry nodded
" yes, my lord "
" Alright, Shin send some golem and eliminate them. We don't need those kind of trashes here " Skylar said
" I already did it " Shin said sitting down in the chair next to Skylar
" Oh! and Sky, he is my secretary "
" uhmm... not bad he's young and has pontential, that's a good choice " Skylar said looking at Barry
" Thank you, my lord. I'll work hard tobeof use " thanked Barry
" That's good to hear but let me ask you one question. Did you ever worked in palace as butler? "
" Yes, my lord. How did you gigure it out? "
" Figure out? everybody knows that pirates are not as polite and respectful as you are. No pirate gonna go and say ' my lord ' to another dude younger than them " Said Skylar
" Indeed my lord has a good eye "
" But where did you use to work " Skylar asked
" ... " Barry didn't answer and just continued kneeling
" Let's just wait until everyone comesback "
After sometime everygroup started to come one by one, soon every person still alive came back. Their numbers decreased but not too much, right now out of the hundred only 68 pirates were here.
Skylar, Shin and Barry introduced themselves and Shin told the rest to do the same thing. But the group didn't seem to agree to the fact that a 'weakling' like Barry became the secretary of General Shin. But they hesitated to say it loudly until a brave one stated his thoughts.
" King Skylar, why would little Barry be General Shin's secretary, he is clearly the weakest member of the crew "looking at him one can clearly see that he is satisfied with what he just did but he quickly regretted, no he didn't even have time to regret it when his head rolled on the ground.
A portal just suddenly appeared next to him and a sword came out of it and chopped his head. Skylar did it, he didn't want to do this at first but after seeing the guy's expression he got annoyed. 'why did you have to show me your smug face' skylar thought
Seeing that the man who spoke was cut down everybody stated to feel real fear.
" if you got something to say, you can say it. But, never show me a smug face or you'll end up like this guy. When i see someone make a smug face it bring back bad memories " Skylar said, everybody nodded their heads not daring to speak nor move.
The killing intent coming out of him was that terrifying, with killing intent as strong as this one the people feared that even if they were to move one centimeters they would be cut down.
Shin was also surprised, he had never heard of the dark side in Skylar's past, it was jis first time. After he would make sure to ask him.
" If you have a problem with my decision bring your best fighter to compete with Barry in a life or death battle " Skylar said
"Paul come foward " Shin yelled, knowing that this would actually happen when he heard of Barry's reputation so he asked him questions along the way.
Paul came forward with disturbed look on his face, he witnessed Barry fighting prowess and he really didn't wanna die. 'Why would that bastard speak up without knowing anything' he thought, he advanced forward, bowed and said
"My lord i do think that you made a good choice so Barry and I do not need to fight each other"
" Just fight " said Skylar
"But my lord i do not disagree with the..."
"Just fight" repeated Skylar
"But..."
"Just fight" Knowing that he couldn't change the lords mind he turned to General Shin and Shin was looking at him.
Just by seeing him he knew that he couldn't change the bosses minds he turned to Barry but the latter was looking at him as if he was jis prey.
Unable to do anything he decided to fight, fortunately he didn't die because Shin stopped the fight and asked if there is someone else who wants to challenge Barry. Nobody spoke, they were all surprised and felt dumb for trying to corner a powerful being like Barry.
Finishing with that Shin handed the rank 2 soldier badges to each of them and headed towards their Ship.
Arriving, they see a big Ship that could accommodate at least one thousand people. It was just that big.
The first thing they did was to change the Jolly roger into a Skull with the New in the left eye and T on the right one. They wete satisfied and after dome preparations they finaly set out to right their new story.
