" Erin !!!" Erin jumped up in a fright as he heard his mother yell at him from the other room.
"What? I am up. I am up!" Erin tried to put himself together as he rushed to the bathroom. He looked at his watch and silently swore to himself. It was the first day of his second year and he was going to be late.
" DAMN, DAMN, DAMN IT!" He said under his breath as he packed all his books and wore his uniform at the same time. It was 8:15 and class started at 8:45. He had no time to think let alone react to his little sister's snide comments.
"Well look who finally decided to wake up? I am so glad we are not going to the same school."
"Yeah, yeah love you too Picasso. Bye mom. Lovely toast yum." Erin quickly said this as he grabbed some toast and ran to the bus stop.
As the bus driver saw a high school boy run with a toast in his mouth he did not know whether to wait or leave the weird kid to the next guy. Luckily for Erin, he chose the first option. Erin sat in a chair as he saw his shabby but warm home get smaller and smaller.
As he waited to head to his destination, he heard the ding coming from his phone. It was his group chat that he made with his friends.
JaredIsAwesome: Yo dude, where are you?
ErinBerry: I was playing Zelda last night and overslept.
JaredIsAwesome: You are so screwed man. Do you know who we have this year? Fricken Mr Darwin.
MarvinCarvinYourMom2Night: The same Darwin who publicly humiliated a student for being late 3 classes in a row Darwin?
JaredIsAwesome: Yeah that Darwin.
ErinBerry: Well that's great.
JaredIsAwesome: Just so you know, if you want to have a peaceful second year, be in class in the next 10 minutes dude.
ErinBerry: Don't worry I caught the bus I should be there in 2 minutes.
As Erin sent that message he heard the bus screech to a stop. The people inside started to murmur in confusion.
"Whats going on?" An impatient looking middle aged man said.
"Traffic jam. Sorry folks, this may take a while." The bus was then filled with groans and boos as they heard this. The middle aged man who seemed to be going to a interview was exasperated.
"I don't have time for this." He quickly left the bus as he said this and many others followed his lead. Erin sighed as he wrote " I'll be there in 5 minutes" and quickly left the bus.
The people who just left the bus only felt a breeze as they saw him race the wind. He jumped through obstacle and dodged others as he passed though crowded walk ways.
Finally, after 5 minutes he passed the gate man as he opened the doors to his school.
High school number 3. This high school was famous for many of its graduates being academic, athletic, rich or a combination of these three. Most of the kids who go to this school were rich and from prominent families. Erin is neither rich or prominent and only got in due to his excellent athletic ability in running and high academic scores in the entrance exam.
As the minority that was in the economic class, Erin was even more afraid of making a scene and getting on Mr Darwin's bad side. Lucky for him, He came a few minutes before the bell rang and quickly found a seat next to his two best friends, Marvin and Jared.
Jared was a tall skinny lad with dark skin and always squinted eyes. His family came from a slightly prominent family and he met Erin through the running club last year. Marvin whose family owns a popular restaurant is a shorter and chubby Asian fellow that met them through a forced group project last year and the three became inseparable since.
A few minutes after everyone was seated in their positions with their friends, a grumpy middle aged man walked into the room. Everyone went quiet when they saw him.
The man arranged his papers and sat down in the teacher's desk.
"Now everyone seat do-" Before he could finish his sentence, a boy came rushing in. Mr Darwin stood up from his seat and turned to the sweating boy.
"To think I would see such tardiness on the first day!" He then spent the next 20 minutes lecturing the poor boy on discipline before allowing him to seat down. Erin sighed in relief at the fact that he was able to avoid that for himself.
After that ordeal was over, Mr Darwin began to teach his lesson for the day. For some odd reason Erin's eyes became heavy as he heard the old man's boring speech. He tried to stay awake but could not help but close his eye for just a second. When he opened them again, Mr Darwin was right in front of him looking furious.
"Do I bore you Mr Silvers?" Erin straighten his back and quickly shook his head.
"N-No sir I-"
"Now tell me Mr Silvers what is the answer to the question on board." Caught off guard with a chalk forcefully put on him, Erin had no choice but to stand up. He heard some snickers from some people as he heaved a sigh. "So much for not making a bad impression." He looked at the math equation on the board and quickly solved it. He then gave the chalk back to Mr Darwin while apologizing for his actions.
Mr Darwin just grumbled as he continued on with his lesson. Suddenly Erin heard an electronic voice come from his head.

Erin slowly looked up in front him and saw a floating blue hologram screen appear.

Erin thought he was still a sleep and did not think much of it and pointed to the yes. As he did he suddenly saw his classmates around him. They seemed to be in like a daze as they pointed to nothing. He looked as his teacher and friends in an odd state.
~Ding~
The sound of a ding turned him back to the blue screen.
~ Congratulations Erin Silvers. You have now entered the new world. Please wait for further Instructions ~
The screen slowly disappeared and for a second there was only silence. Suddenly the boy from before spoke up.
" Am I still dreaming? Shit wake up! You have to get to school man!" Erin looked at the boy in bewilderment and for some odd reason he said.
"Your not dreaming...."
BOOM
The boy's head which looked at Erin in confusion suddenly exploded. One after one, heads began to explode like fire works. A blonde girl who was beside the late boy, screamed in horror as she saw his head explode. The class was in chaos as they saw this scene unfold. Mr Darwin was speechless as he saw this scene take place then without a word his head flew across the room. Some people tried to get out of the classroom but, the door was locked. Erin slowly chose a corner and huddled up with his friends. The screaming and terror continued for 20 minutes after the last head exploded.
Erin took in short breaths as he heard similar sound coming from the other classroom next door. In his mind he just kept saying, "This is not a dream. If it was, I would be awake by now."
