The people present in the room had the expressions of shock and disbelief. What had happened? Their President actually went out to receive a phone call in the middle of a meeting!? Zhao Yufeng recovered quickly and continued to address them while having a vague guess as to who the person was.
When Lan Zhuo picked up the call, Xiulan who was already panicking, burst out. "Mr. Lan, did you see the news? My... my... old, I mean previous apartment, you know the one I was staying in before I moved here was broken into! Do you think it was Lan Jingfeng's doing? Because I think it was him. He used to make not so subtle passes at me throughout the time I was his assistant and when that thread came up he even asked me to become his woman! Do you think orchestrated this kind of thing to serve as a warning of some sort? What should I do? What if he harms my friend or her family next? I dunno...." Lan Zhuo interrupted her saying "Miss Zhang, please take a deep breath and try to relax. We are still looking into who broke into the place you were staying previously so try not to jump into conclusions. for all we know it might be an ordinary burglary case."
Xiulan took deep breaths as she listened to what Lan Zhuo was saying. She then let out a sigh and said " A burglary huh, probably. I really hope it was a burglary but, in all honesty, I don't think it is. In one of the pictures that were shown on the K news channel, the way the things were scattered on the floor, makes me think that it was not a burglary. I can even guess that there may be nothing missing, they were just scattered haphazardly. When I realised this, I knew that the only person I had offended was Lan Jingfeng. I, Mr. Lan, I don't know what to do." She whispered the last part and shivered slightly.
Lan Zhuo who listened to what she had to say patiently, let out a soft breath and said "We still don't know anything for now so please stop panicking Miss Zhang. Well, it's no use thinking about it unless we actually know what happened. For now, don't go out anywhere. Try not to think about it. I will get back to you if I find something in what happened. Panicking will not take you anywhere so please calm down. I will see you later today."
Xiulan ended the call and fell into thought. She agreed with Lan Zhuo and tried to calm down. She then finished the rest of the noodles, finished the dishes, switched off the TV and entered her study. She started reading the documents and all the related material that she should know before joining FeiYi on Monday. She decided not to think about the break-in untill the perpetrator was determined.

Lan Zhuo stared at his phone with a blank look. Since when did he start to care about people to the point where he consoled a person? Wait did he just put effort to console a person who was not his parents or his three best friends? What was up with that faint throb in his chest area near his heart? He decided to get an appointment with a cardiologist to consult him regarding this matter. He shook his head, calmed down and went back to the meeting. He ignored the stares of the others especially Zhao Yufeng and sat down. He sent a sharp glare in his assistant's direction. Zhao Yufeng gulped and broke into cold sweat. He hastily continued from the point where they had left off.
After the meeting ended, Lan Zhuo and Zhao Yufeng went back to FeiYi's Headquaters. Yufeng looked at Lan Zhuo and asked "Was it Miss Zhang's call you attended in the middle of the meeting?" with a sly smirk on his face.
