Sirius Black has been cleared of all charged and the Ministry is going to compensated him for the years he spent at Azkaban. But, the thing he want the most is to see his godson. Dumbledore has been seeing him when he's in the ministry custody. He told him that he did not know that Sirius is not the Potter secret keeper. That Dumbledore too, failed Sirius.
Sirius asked him for Harry. Dumbledore said that Harry is in Hogwarts. Sirius filed for Harry's guardianship. Dumbledore argued that Sirius can't be a compatible guardian for Harry Potter.
Sirius is so pissed.
Sirius found out that his mother has passed away after he's in Azkaban. His grandfather had passed away too not long after that. It make him the only living Black. Sirius claimed the Black inheritance in Gringgots. The Goblin happily handed him the title of the Head of the house of Black.
To the full session of Wizengamot, Sirius explaining about how he is the one who should be responsible of Harry. The wizengamot then give Sirius a chance to prove that he's qualified (sane enough after Azkaban) to be a guardian of a 11 years old boy.
Which lead him to where he is today. In the headmaster of Hogwarts office alongside Mrs. Rose Smith and Mr. Alec Wilde, from some Child Welfare Department in Ministry of Magic. Dumbledore is fetching Harry Potter at the moment. The three of them kept silent while waiting.
When the door in the office open, Sirius feel relieved. Dumbledore come in accompanied by a plump woman and a young boy with glasses.
"Harry." Sirius walk forward to hug Harry, stop halfway when he realized that Harry might forget about him, he did not want to scare Harry on their first meeting.
Harry look at Sirius, feel like he's a young boy again, "Who are you?" he ask instead.
Dumbledore and Prof. Sprout move to the other occupant in the room. They start talking, leaving Harry and Sirius alone.
Sirius look up and down at Harry, he really looks like James miniature, he's regretting the time that he spent away from his Godson. He kneel down in front of Harry, "My name is Sirius Black." Sirius give his hand for Harry to shake, "I'm your Godfather, Harry."
"I'm Harry Potter," Harry shake Sirius's hand, "What's a Godfather?" He ask.
"I'll be the one who's going to take care of you." Sirius said, he put his hands on Harry's shoulder, "I shouldn't leave you alone, Harry, I'm sorry."
Harry feel his heart twisting, Sirius looks like he's going to cry anytime now. Oh wait, he did cry, "It's okay." Harry patted Sirius's head, "I'm sure you did not mean it."
Sirius smile at Harry, the boy is kind, just like Lily, "We'll be together now, okay?"
Harry tilted his head, "How come?"
"You will life with me, how about that?" Sirius
"What about Iris?" Harry ask with little voice.
"Who is Iris?" Sirius ask back.
"She's my sister." Harry answer with a smile.
"Sister?" Sirius is surprised, he turn his head to look at Dumbledore, who's not looking at him. Weird. Sirius ask Harry again, " Who is this sister, Harry?"
"Iris is my sister," Harry said, "my Papa Charlie adopted me when I was little, Iris is his niece, but Iris said she's my sister because we spent time together like sibling."
"Adopted?"
"Yeah, I was in a orphanage, my Papa take me home with him."
"Orphanage?" Sirius voices is raised, the others take notice of this and stop talking.
"Sirius?" Dumbledore ask, " Did something wrong?"
Sirius stand up and turn to face Dumbledore, "How come Harry get in an orphanage, Albus?"
Dumbledore stood with gaping mouth. Harry almost laugh out loud when he see that. Sirius looks like he's going to burst in rage. Prof.Sprout walk to Harry's side. Mrs.Smith and Mr.Wilde stand up from their seat and look ready to intervene if fight occured.
"I am raised in an orphanaged." Harry's voice break the tension, "My Papa adopted me and take me home to America."
"How come he got in an orphanaged?" Sirius ask Dumbledore again, voice way colder than before.
Dumbledore looks like he's got trapped, "I don't know, should I know?"
Sirius grab a thing near him and throw it to the ground, "Goddam you Dumbledore, you get Hagrid to take Harry from me just to put him in an orphanage?"
"Is it true Professor?" Mrs.Smith ask. Dumbledore did not say anything.
"Why don't you put him in Ministry of Magic custody?" Mr.Wilde ask Dumbledore, to imagine the Boy who Live in an orphanage.
"And let the ministry put him with his closest blood relative?" Dumbledore ask back, "He can be put with Death Eater's family, he could ve killed, and nobody would know about it. I. Am. Trying. To keep him alive."
"With putting him in an orphanage." Prof.Sprout let out a deep sigh, she's already put her hands on Harry's ear, putting an mute spell on it, so that Harry can't hear what others is talking about. Not that Harry can't. He can read their mouth even without sound coming out of it.
"I did not put him there." Dumbledore said, "I put him in front of Petunia Dursley's house. How he ended up there, I have no idea."
Sirius snorted, "Who is this Papa Charlie?" Sirius ask Dumbledore.
"Well, when Harry accept our Hogwarts invitation, I already get people to take a look at him, but they did not find anything, except that he's staying in America."
They all exchange glance. This is messed up.
