A reader requested this and I can't find another way to embed it into the story, I realize it's been a bit confusing since my MC skipped so many levels.
Let me begin with a brief overview of how magic works in this world.
All magic has a source, In this novel you can think of Magic following the trend of something like the Water Cycle, it is a finite resource. Now although it is finite, Magic has many sources, Nature, elements, and creatures, etc, to say the least while the magic itself is limited, its sources are not.
You are introduced to our story with humans exposure to Dragon Magic, the Draconic Source, or Draconite. Exposure to this stone of raw Dragon magic that the dragons don't use is what gives humans the ability to level.
It is important to note that these are not regular humans but High Humans, as such they are much more sensitive to magic and absorb it naturally.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Slayer Stages-
Basic
Intermediate
Advanced
Epic
Legendary
Ancient.
Slayer Ranks-
Recruit
Explorer
Pioneer
Adventurer
Knight
Guardian
Hero
Dragonslayer
Please ignore the stupid overpowered mc, the correct order of leveling begins at recruit, extreme innate talent requires high exposure to draconite early on from birth as well as powerful bloodlines(more on bloodlines later)
Beyond Dragonslayer is the branch evos
This is when a Slayer would graduate from the Academy, under normal circumstances, 1000 raw Draconite stones or (1000 successful adult dragon kills) would be enough to exceed the Dragonslayer rank, other options would be the exposure to an equivalent amount of a raw mana source.
The branches are:
Physical- Dragon Knight
Magical- Dragon Lord
These follow a separate theme of ascension, but they are equivalent in power to one another.
Ascension is as follows:
Evolved
Immortal
Ancient
All Stages are ranked in power from 1 to 9 with 9 being the peak.
Now I mentioned earlier the different Magic Sources, with a different Magic Source the ranks change in Quality although there is little change in name. for example, an existence who uses a Divine Magic Source at the same level and Grade of a Level 1 Immortal Dragon Knight would instead be a Level 1 Immortal Celestial Knight. However the difference in power between the two would be comparable to a spark before a flame. This is not to say that Dragon Magic is weak, only that the current Dragons in the story are all mortal.
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now time for the fun part
Half-Godling- This is the realm that first touches divinity. It is upon reaching this stage that magic becomes innate and is no longer restricted to only being drawn from other sources.
Full-Godling- is the stage that grants the power to influence the lives of mortals.
Nascent Godling- is the stage when the mortal half begins to die.
Half-God- Part Godling Part God, the mortal self is discarded, Attains true divinity and magic becomes innate.
God- The power to affect the course of events is attained. This is a realm that few reach, and is often thought to be a myth by many.
Minor God- The power of creation is gained, A minor God is able to create minor mortal races.
Major God- A legendary existence, separate from the realms of mortals, they exist in the transcendant planes and have limited sway over mortals, they interact with the lower realms through Avatars- can you guess who in the story were avatars of these beings?
Full God- This is a God recognized by other Major Gods as a supreme existence, and it is the realm that grants the authority to form a Pantheon.
Mortal God
Immortal God
Ancient God
Primordial God
Dying God- A Dying God is at his or her most powerful, this God loses immortality and no one has surpassed this realm. Dying 10 years after achieving the state.
I hope this helps clear some things up, if you have any questions feel free to leave a comment.
