Chapter 57: Grandmother story (57)
Zane then Kissed Bella. He loved the feeling of this little woman in his arms. He took her book out of her hands and pulled her over to the chair.

Now the King was full of happiness, and as soon as he saw the Queen coming, he hid the faithful John and both the children in a great closet.
As soon as she came in he said to her, "Have you prayed in the church?"
"Yes," she answered; "but I thought continually of the faithful John, who has come to such misfortune through us."
Then he replied, "My dear wife, we can restore his life again to him, but it will cost us both our little sons, whom we must sacrifice."
The Queen became pale and was terrified at heart, but she said, "We are guilty of his life on account of his great fidelity."
Then he was very glad that she thought as he did, and going up to the closet, he unlocked it, brought out the children and the faithful John, saying, "God be praised! he is saved, and we have still our little sons"; and then he told her all that happened.
Afterward they lived happily together to the end of their days.

"Do you want me to read another?" He asked Bella.
"Please, I love to hear your voice." Bella said.
"Ok, next is THE WATER OF LIFE."
◇◇◇♡♡♡◇◇◇THE WATER OF LIFE
Once upon a time there was a King who was so ill that everybody despaired of his life, and his three sons were very sorry, and went out into the palace gardens to weep.
There they met an old man, who asked the cause of their grief, and they told him their Father was so ill that he must die, for nothing could save him.
The old Man said, "I know a means of saving him: if he drinks of the water of life it will restore him to health; but it is very difficult to find."
"I will soon find it," said the eldest Son, and, going to the sick King, he begged his permission to set out in search of the water of life, which alone could save him.
"No; the danger is too great," said the King; "I prefer to die."
Nevertheless, the Son begged and entreated so long that the King consented, and the Prince went away, thinking in his own heart, "If I bring this water I am the dearest to my Father, and I shall inherit his kingdom."
After he had ridden a long way he met a Dwarf on the road, who asked him, "Whither away so quickly?"
"You stupid dandyprat," replied the Prince proudly, "why should I tell you that?" and he rode off.
But the little Man was angry and he wished an evil thing, so that, soon after, the Prince came into a narrow mountain-pass, and the farther he rode the narrower it grew, till at last it was so close that he could get no farther; but neither could he turn his horse round, nor dismount, and he sat there like one amazed.

Time went by fast and soon they had to put down the book for dinner.
"Bella, we can finish this later. Lets go eat dinner." Zane said.
"Ok, can you please answer one question?" Bella asked.
"What is it?"
"Is there any way I can get your mom to like me?"
Zane paused and pulled Bella into an embrace. "Bella, I don't know but I promise we will try if that is what you want. But know I will always protect you."
Bella took a deep breath of his manly smell. It calmed her down. She just shook her head ok.
After dinner Zane received a call from his Father so he excused himself to his office.
"What can I do for you?" Zane asked.
'I understand your mother came to visit today. Why did you throw her off the property?'
"She came to hearse Bella not to see me. She can visit if I am home."
'Your mother only wants what is best for you. I don't understand why this girl has such a hold on you.'
"I love her that's all there is to it."
'I understand that you think that but you don't know what you are talking about. I understand that your trying to take down my company not. And you forced Heather to leave the country.'
"First father, I know what love is and I love Bella and her family. I will protect the things I love. Second I can only take down something and someone that is weak. If your company is in trouble then you need to ask why? Last It was Heather choose to leave the country I gave her a few choices and that is what she decided." Zane was calm and clear. He wanted his father to understand what was going on and what would happen.
"If you and my Mother want to cause more problems for Bella and her family then know I will destroy you." Zane then hung up the phone and slumped down in is chair.
Why did his family have to be like that. He thought back to his grandmother.

"Nana tell me again the story of Poppie and you." Zane crawled into his Nana lap.
"Again aren't you tired of this story?" She smiled at the boy.
"Never, please!!!" Zane smiled and blinked his eyes. His grandmother could not say no to that face.
"Ok, long time ago a young man who was very poor fell in love with a pretty young girl who would go to the local flower shop for a dozen roses. Her mother loved roses and her father would send her to pick them up each week.
One day he started talking to her and walking her home. He had a good job but was still very poor compared to the girls family.
after a year he got up the courage to ask the girls father for her hand in marriage.
The girls father turned him away thinking the boy was only after their money.
The boy pleaded to prove himself so her father said if he could make a million dollars and bring his daughter a dozen roses like no other then he could have her hand.
The boy was full of hope so with only a few dollars he worked his way on oil riggs and finally after 5 years of hard work came back with over ten million and a dozen roses.
The roses were a dozen crystal rose unlike any other ever seen.
But the boy was almost to late because the girls father that had arranged for her to marry one of the sons from a business partner.
So he still refused to give his daughter to what he called new money.
The girl was heartbroken because she loved the boy so they ran away. After they had a son they returned because they had heard that the girls father was sick and because of a bad business deal had lost most of the family fortune. The boy took care of all the debt and at that time he was worth billions. Every year on their anniversary she would get a dozen crystal roses.
To this day she still gets a dozen crystal roses each anniversary. This boy and girl is your Nana and Poppie."
"Can I give the girl I love roses too?" Zane asked.
"Only if she is the love of your life and you will fight the world to be with her."
