"That silver elixir is personally concocted by the schoolmaster for this specific event. It will temporarily restain you from using your mana so that you won't be able to use magic spells during the survival quest.

The game was designed in such a way so that students will be forced to think of a way to survive. This will test their adaptability, cunningness, and wit.
