Chapter 48: Chapter 47
'What's happening here?, something is not right' Iris thought.
"Uncle Fin, do you also feel something is amis"
Uncle Fin brows frowned, he also noticed it but didn't said it out but now listening to the princess he also have bad feeling seeing the path soo... empty. "I notice too princess, the town is suspiciously deserted"
"hmm" she paused and said "After reaching the Castle, send Knights to investigate. Its weird that town looks deserted"
Butler Fin nodded.
They reach the castle shortly, even the castle is not as lively. Iris's brows furrowed.
"Uncle Fin..", Butler Fin bows and said "right away princess". Butler Fin leave to investigate, and Iris been tired from the long traveling make her way to her chamber.
Reaching the chamber, she again notice that there are no maids all through out the way, inside her chamber, she ring the bell (used to call maids or servants, specially personal maid).
After slightly more than 5 min later a male servant knocks on the door, after getting permission made his way inside, give his respect as he bows and ask clenching his teeth "How can I help you, Your Highness"
His tone and his clenched fist can able to tell that he was hiding something, like something he wants to say but can't able to say it.
"Where is Anna? (her personal maid) Where are my maids? Tell me why is castle looking so empty?"
"That Y...Your Highness is because maids are on leave, they've not came to castle"
"And why is that so" all this while the servant have his head down but he lift his head, while biting the corner of his lips, like thinking he should tell or not.
Afterall that person have clearly said that the Princess will not help them, so did it matter if he tell her.
While the servant debating inside as he should tell or not, the sound of door knocking startled his thoughts.
knock knock knock, then a voice come "Princess, Its Butler Fin in your service"
"Ah, please do come in Uncle Fin" she turn towards the servant and said "Its ok, you can leave now" The servant again bows his head and leave the room.
Iris again turn her head to look at Butler Fin who's eyes have a hint of cold, she said "What is it Uncle Fin, what do you find"
Uncle Fin tells everything that happen in the castle as well as in the town, when they were not there.
Listening Uncle Fin, the temperature in the chamber drop because of the cold aura emitting from Iris, even her light blue eyes turned a bit darker and coldness clearly evident in them.
