Chapter 9: Nakia Oliver
"but we can't get patent of this medicine, what will we do if, these medicine formulae are used by another company." Mr. White asked me with concerned looked.
"look these medicines formulae are available in ancient medicine practices, but what differentiates them is the method, I have come up with a process which will help these medicines to minimize the cost and plus they will be more effective if produced using that method," I replied.
"hmmm, I see", after reply, he leaned back on his chair.
" We just have to get a patent of the method, so that in future no one came to use the same process," I replied.
"okay Ms. Samuel, the deal is done then you have my words, now we just need to organize a press conference and announce it." he looked at me while saying. And pulled his hand towards me for the handshake.
I don't know, but there was something in his eyes, it seems like he was very keen to start this venture, but looking into his eyes some how.. I was also having a strange feeling.
"Ms. Samuel is something wrong", he brought me back from my thoughts.
" No Mr. White, I appreciate your trust in me", I said while holding his hand.
I was in dilemma, I don't want to alert my enemy, but what should I do, I was in deep thoughts, then I thought maybe Mr. White can help me with this.
"Mr. White, I have one more request to make", I said with hesitation, as I have already presented some many conditions.
He looked at me with concentration and said, " feel free to say", and fixed his eyes on me.
I was mesmerized by his green colored eyes it was clean like the water, I was drowning deep inside it.
"Ms. Samuel, don't hesitate to share your thoughts, " he brought me back to reality.
"Mr. White, I want to keep my details a secret", I said.
he looked at me with confused looks and asked, " may I ask why", and gave his full attention to me.
"I have some unfinished business here", I replied.
Heaven Samuel, it's your time to payback. let's meet you first after this meeting and see do u really regret it when you were not with us.
" okay but you gonna be my partner at least I have to tell your name", he asked me.
"you can use Nakia Oliver, as your partner name from today onwards this name will represent me", I said with full determination and hatred towards Samuel family.
" Interesting, your new name tells me that, you are here for some kind of revenge as Nakia means Revenge and Oliver means Army, " he said with keen eyes and a slight smile on his face and casually lean back on his chair.
"Mr. White you will be the face of the company and I don't think other things matter for anyone," I said while looking in his eyes.
"very well said, Ms. Oliver ", he said and looked at me, I felt like with his eyes he was conveying some kind of support and message.
" Thank you, Mr. White, for understanding, I believe everything is done if there is nothing to discuss I'll take leave." and stand up to leave the office.
" one minute Miss, can I also ask for a favor ", he said and I was confused by his words, as I was a nobody how can I help him anyway and looked at him with a confused look.
" Yes, Mr. White, if it's in my hand ill surely help you".
"Believe me, Miss, only you can help me", he said with a smirk on his face," can you call me Davis, when you say Mr. White I feel like I have aged instantly ".
we both looked at each other and started to laugh I think then we must introduce each other and he moved his head in agreement.
" Hi, My name is Nakia Oliver, we are gonna be partners in the coming future". I said to him introducing me with a new identity.
"Hello Nakia, you can call me Davis..or if you like we can be partners for forever". he said in a seductive voice.
Did he really say that or it was just some kind of illusion?
" nice to meet you, Davis", I said and left the office.
DAVIS POV
when I said if you like we can be partners for forever, I was also shocked as these words just came out naturally from my mouth but when I think about it, automatically my heart brightens up.
This girl is interesting I thought, but I don't understand why she put all those conditions, as everyone wants to get fame and wants to be popular but in contrast, she doesn't want to be recognized.
I looked at her back and she was leaving my office. But I was not feeling as beaming as when she was in front of me.
With a gloomy face, I said to PA Pattinson, I want detailed information about her as soon as possible.
PA Pattinson left the office.
I went close to the window and recalled when she entered, I was so mesmerized by her blue colored eyes, I wanted to see care for me in those eyes.
and promised to myself that, I will make her mine.
