Chapter 11: Chapter 11 - She Was Restrained Herself
They sit while the tea being prepared by the maids. The maid then give the cup of tea to Rosé's hand so she can give the Crown Prince the tea herself. "Your Majesty, this tea is a chamomile tea. I hope the taste suits you well."
Libra accept it and he take a sip. One of his eyebrow goes up. The tea has chamomile as its dominant flavor, but he also tastes something else. "Interesting, what is this another pleasant and mild taste beside the chamomile?"
Rosé eyes gone lit up and she smiled. "I see that Your Majesty find out the other ingredient in this tea. I used passion flower as the other ingredient and mix it with the chamomile, the measure is 1/4 for the passion flower and 3/4 for the chamomile. I read a lot from herbal medicine books both ingredients are best to help you feel relax, reduce stress, and anxiety. It also helps you to sleep well at night. The chamomile only is good, but I do a small experiment and added passion flower too with similar effect as the chamomile."
Libra smiled while nod at her explanation. This girl surely give him surprise every time he meet her. "What book do you usually read beside herbal medicine books?" He was curious so he asked her.
"There were history books, politics, socials, I also read many exploration books to study the lands geography. Also there's magic---" ops! She said subject that her sister never touch before, magic! Oh no, she hopes His Majesty didn't catch her last word!
"...and magic books?" Libra completed her last sentence.
Okay, she doomed. Rosé cried inside. "W-well, I am just curious a bit and didn't actually understand any of it, Your Majesty."
She lied.
Libra knows it, but he didn't mind. Maybe there's a reason why this girl wants to hide her ability in using magic. He can understand because only a little noble ladies admitted to enroll in Academy. After some surveys, it was because whether ones could use magic or not, for noble ladies it is more important to socialize and get inside a circle in the noble society than studying magic. Socializing is sounds more feminine than study. Beside, isn't it usual for common to get interested in feminine lady than a nerd lady for noble circles?
She choose to not stand out than to stand out in front of him. In contrast with most ladies who were approached him recently, they all want to tell the best of the best from their self. They were trying so hard to look different than others to gain his attention.
"Tell me what you have read in your little bit curiosity in magic," said Libra and took another sips from his tea cup.
Rosé paused for a moment. She can't just blurted out some specific magic, right? Umm, let's start with the basic topic in magic! She decided for herself.
"...I read about moving objects with magic?" She doesn't sounds confident to cover up her knowledge in magic.
"Can you do it?"
Rosé cried inside. Why the Crown Prince acted like he was testing her? Of course she can do it!
But, she won't do it in front of you, Your Majesty!
"Roselia?"
Rosé didn't give a respond when the Crown Prince called her.
"Roselia!"
"A-ah! Y-yes!" Silly her! She was not accustomed yet using her sister name. She must be careful!
"Can you do magic?" Libra repeat his question.
Roselia never told her whether she can do magic or not. So Rosé was confused to answer Libra's question. Then, she shooked her head. "My apologies, Your Majesty, I can't do magic."
Hmm, another lies. Libra start to think for himself. This girl trying so hard to deny she doesn't know about magic. If he didn't face with her at her grandfather's library that time, then he wouldn't know she can do magic and it was also a specific magic which is mind related magic.
Then he change the topic. "What you usually do everyday, Roselia?"
Unconsciously, she answered, "Sometimes I discussed some politics matter with my second brother, and some other times I watched knight training in our house training ground."
Why Claymore have their own training ground? Because the eldest son of Claymore, Willhem Claymore is a captain and a captain have permission to train the knights in his squadron.
"What about you, Your Majesty? What are the things you usually do?"
Finally, she asked him back! This time around Libra noticed it was only him who is asking. He once thought, is it because she is not interested in him, so she is not curious to ask anything about him? He let out a small sigh in relief.
"Everyday I accompany my father in the Imperial Court and hear reports from officials or receiving guest from another country. Then when I have free time, I read some books."
"So your schedule usually full of your duty as the Crown Prince?"
"Yes."
Okay, noted. She will remember everything about today's conversation with the Crown Prince so she can report it later to her sister. Her sister must know about the Crown Prince's interest or activities or she wouldn't catch up when it's her turn to face the Crown Prince!
"Your Majesty, you have been asking me about magic before. Are you interested in magic?" Rosé looked at Libra with curious eyes.
"Yes, I like it, even my Imperial Father introduces me with some professors from Zetas Academy," He answered.
"To be direct taught by the professors, surely it is amazing, You Majesty!" She praised him. Ah, wouldn't it be fun if she has her own teacher too? But, she can't ask her father to get her magic teacher. The public know the only daughter of Claymore is not interested in magic. So she can't use her sister identity like that.
And just like that, both of them have a good conversation and after noticing the sun almost set, the Crown Prince bid farewell to her. He even promised next time when they meet again, he will show her some magic. She was so excited!
But, wait a minute, wouldn't it will be show to Roselia next time and not her? Suddenly she felt sad. She knows she was just replacement. She also aware that she will not meet again with the Crown Prince. She just realized this after she thought she finally got a friend in talking about magic.

After some arrangements, Bernard Claymore finally be able to meet with the Constellation Master, Moligan Harmurt, in Imperial Star Pavilion. Without wasting time, he ask directly about the propecy for his daughters.
"I need to ask you about my daughters. You said the eldest daughter will become the Empress, but why the fate brought the latter to meet with the Crown Prince instead?"
