Chapter 21
During their jurney back, They both walked in silence. They had their own though, Cacha was questioning her self if it was appropriate for her to take his picture in secret while Keinichi wondered what the stupid minions would do.
"Would them trap me in an iglo ?" He asked him self. Speaking about ice, he suddently recalled attraction in Hokaido that she might interested.
"Have you heard Sounkyo Hyobaku festival ?" it was his first time initiate a conversation.
"What is that ?"
"Ice carving but they put light on them"
"Is it far from here ? tomorrow is our last day here"
"you can see the one in sapporo if you like, there was also snow show there. it's a bit different but the maint point is still the same, Ice carving."
"I'll ask elder sister. If she wants to go, my eldest brother will go. He will do anything for her. It's all his fault" She grinned.
"his fault ? " he did not understand.
"yes. My eldest brothers' fault. He doesn't want to go any where, he just want to have relax day. What a boring thing" she pouted.
"Relaxing !?" he said softly
"He said he was too busy for the whole year. He just started his own business this year"
"Understandable"
After 10 minutes walked Keinichi pointed at a building complex "It's a shrine there. People often come here to pray for luck" he assumed by himself, he never paid attention on superstitious thing. anyway, it was true that most of people did pray mostly for luck.
"Shrine ?"
"yes. It's basically a temple, assimilation of Shinto and Buddhism".
"Lets have look"
As They entered the shrine complex, Cacha saw kind of water fountain "What is that for ?"
"We have to wash hands and rinse mouth before pray"
"How ? can we just randomly do it or is there any rule how to it ?"
Keinichi never did it. He just saw his grandparents did few times. Because He was not comfortable to show her, he came out with an excuse "The water is very cold, not suitable to do it".
"It's ok. It take just less than a minute, isn't it ? show me please "
She was right, he could not rebuke her. They took off the gloves then he reluctantly showed her how to do it. After that they walked to the main temple "People throw coin first, the ring the bell by pulling the cloth, clapped your hands three time and pray"
Cacha nodded, she took few coints from her winter coat then did as he said, while he just watched her pray.
"What is your wish ?" He asked
"I wish for every one in my family are happy and well and for you too " She smiled earnestly.
He smiled before he took few coins from his pocket as well. He took a deep breath and threw the coins and prayed. It was his first time to pray that way. He did not follow a particular religion but he used to with Christian way of pray because he studied at Catholic school since he was young.
"What did you wish for ?" Cacha asked when he opened his eyes.
"Secret" he walked to leave the shrine.
She rolled her eyes and sneered "Very mean" before she chased him.
They went back to their car. He observed her all the time while she was enjoying the scenes. "Are you hungry yet ?" He asked after they sat on the car.
Cacha shook her head.
"The next village is about an hour drive. Can you hold until then ? " he explained
Cacha laughed softly and pointed at her bag pack and grinned "Survival pack is ready".
He glanced at her back pack. He understood that she nevet let herself starving and he would not starve eitherwhile she was next to him.
As he predicted, they stopped for lunch an hour later on a small village. After lunch, they still had to drive from about half an hour before they arrived at Blue pond. They did not spend long time there as he preferred to take her home before sunset. She did not mind either, she understood that he might need to get back soon to do some work. By the time they went back to the resort where Feng family was staying, it was after 4.
Keinichi parked his car on the resort car park. "You are home" he said. He was glad they finally returned back, it seemed the minions got his message.
"Thank you for showing me good placed and looked after me. I think my parents want to see you, can you come with me first ?" From her mother personality, she was sure her mother would like to thank him personally.
He did not have intention to meet her family. However, his mind and his heart did not synchronized. His heart wished that her parents would have good impression about him. The more suprising thing was his mouth follow his heart "Ok".
Cacha grinned happily as they walked to her family cottage. When she opened the door, all her family members were there.
"Hello, How was your day guys ? Did you do some where?" Cacha sat next to her mum and have her a big hugged. Mrs Feng let a big smile and tapped her back lightly.
Keinichi bowed and sat on the corner closed to where Cacha was. Grandpa and grandma Yamaguchi were happy to see both of the youngsters were back safe and sound. They gazed at him and nodded with satisfaction and proud, their grandson was very accountable.
"Just walk around here.Very boring" Sasha said.
"Ah poor you. I had a nice day of skiing, Oniisan took me to blue pond. It's very beautiful" Cacha grinned happily then her eyes were searching for a certain man. She was glad that she spotted him there.
"How about we go to sapporo tomorrow ? Oniican said there is a snow festival there. we should have seen Sounkyo Hyobaku festival yesterday"
"Deal. we go there" Sasha decided without ado. Her decision was supported by all the ladies who were bored to death.
"Sure, We just need to have an early breakfast tomorrow. A minibus for sixteen people is ready" Grandma Yamaguchi was more than happy.
"but it will be 17 of us" Josh counted.
"Oniisan, please go with us ok ?" Cacha gave keinichi a puppy eyes.
"Please. Anyway, we need extra car, Ok ?"
Keinichi really wanted to reject her but he could not bring him self to do it, the way she plead was very cute and he did not want her to be sad. He nodded his head to show them his agreement. He did not understand why but he was glad as he tought that he had a chance to see her again the next day.
"Just stay here tonight, don't stay alone. also take them to local night market. It's clear night" Grandma Yamaguchi said.
He gazed at his grandparents with intention to reject the over. but, his grandfather face warned him not to reject the offer. Hence, he only could agree.
