Chapter 21: Kabanata 20
It has been a few months since I gave to Karicha Bael Saige.
As of now, we couldn't fully figure out who she looks like more. Some say, she looks a mix of both of us, her parents.
To me, as long as she grows slowly and healthily, I'll just be contented and enjoy our days with her.
I've been a devoted parent to Kari, that sometimes, I forget that my husband, Kard, needs taking care of too.
So, when Ryn and Alfred volunteered to take care of her. I was fortunate enough to breastfeed her. And I lactate so much, it's keeping my personal refrigerator full of my milk.
I am thinking of donating some of the extra bag of milk to a company that accepts breastmilk donations. It's for a good cause so while waiting for Kari's future godparents to arrive, I browsed the internet to look for legal and good company for donating my milk.
"Quelly! We're here!" Napatingin ako sa dumating. I smiled at them and pointed the currently sleeping, bundle of joy.
"Wow, only a few months old and she's gotten bigger the last time I saw her." Si Alfred nang makita niya ang aking anak.
"Kumusta naman, Mrs.Saige huh?" tanong ni Ryn sa akin. I smiled, "Excited for the date with my husband, syempre."
Natawa siya and lumapit na sa basinette na kinalalagyan ni Kari.
"Kahit ma-late kayo ng pagdating, ayos lang, you need a break from the stress of being a mommy." Napatingin ako sa sinabi ni Alfred.
"I'm not stressed for being Kari's mom, it's fulfilling and I really enjoy my days with her."
Bumukas muli ang pinto at pumasok si Kard.
"Ready ka na?" I nodded at tumayo na mula sa pagkakaupo.
"Alfred, kayo na bahala sa aming prinsesa, don't let her scratch herself, put her mittens on when she suddenly wants to scratch her face," paalala ni Kard sa kanila.
"Mahaba na ba agad kuko ni Kari?" tanong ni Ryn. "Yes, kaya nga lagyan niyo ng mittens."
I was going to trim her tiny nails kung hindi lang ngayon ang date namin ni Kard.
"Gusto mo try ko gupitin ang mga kuko niya?"
I scrunched my face at Alfred when he suggested that. "Just put on her mittens, gusto ko ako ang gugupit and that's my duty as her mother."
The room went silent for a while. "Hay naku, Alfred Beet, si Quelly na gagawa nun, ikaw talaga!" Ryn reprimanded him.
"Ay pasensya na Quelly, hindi na ako magsasuggest about things about Kari's sake." My face turned into it's normal pokerface.
"Siya, alis na muna kami, kung may problema, never hesitate to call us." Kard led me to the door and I couldn't help but look back at my baby.
"Enjoy kayo sa date niyo!" maligayang sabi ni Alfred. Lumapit ako kay Ryn, "Don't let him touch Kari, too much."
"Hey I heard that!" I stuck my tongue out to him. "I might trust you with my own life but I still don't trust you with Kari's well-being."
Napasinghap siya, "Grabe, ano ginawa ko para hindi mo ipagkatiwala ang kapakanan ng magiging inaanak ko?" nagtatampong tanong ni Alfred.
"I'm just too protective of her, ok?" I told him.
Natawa ako kasi yung mukha niya parang inagawan ko ng candy.
"Hmmph! Sana kasi ako na lang naging asawa mo para hindi ka masungit sa akin."
Natawa kaming tatlo. "Kahit naman maging asawa kita, masungit pa rin ako ah?"
Napatingin siya sa kisame at, "Sabagay, simula't sapul yung ugali mo, talagang napakaganda, yung uri na ang saya lang talaga makita."
"Are you being sarcastic?" I asked in a scrunched up face again.
Sila naman ang tumawa. I stuck my lips out and just looked at them. Hindi ko akalain na itong araw na ito ang naging mitsa para mas makilala ko pa ang aking sarili at ng ibang tao na malapit sa puso ko.

SleepingDreamer Hi guys! So I think I'll onhold this story for a while. Baka the rest of the chapters will be weeks apart because I want to finish my other novels at Wattpad first, medyo connected kasi yung characters ko dito sa stories ko doon.
So, I'm gonna make a plot for this story para mas may content siya na gusto ko and satisfying basahin.
