Chapter 20: From the depths (Part 2)
Something was wrong. All information Andrew gathered until now told him this is the MCU, but something was wrong. Kilgrave for one. While in the series he forced his parents to strengthen his powers for a couple of days, here it took half an hour at best. There was also this particular ghost rider.
He didn't have time for thoughts like this, however. He was holding his breath with all his might. Because Kilgrave got an upgrade and was talking through someone he guessed that was somewhat like his comics counterpart, being able to control people through pheromones.
Andrew knew that if it was pheromones than it was already too late whether he kept breathing or not though.
With Alden's screams being ignored, Andrew and Kilgrave stared at each other. There was a mad glee in the villain's eye. He could immediately order Chimera to do something but he wanted to savor this moment, the defeated look in the beast's eye.
A minute passed and Alden's screams faded into the background. Satisfied, Kilgrave finally used his powers.
"..." He waited for a second. He waited for Chimera to follow his orders. But nothing happened... He tried again and again but it didn't work.
Seeing Kilgrave confused, angry, and despairing, Andrew got confused himself. Before he could figure out what was happening he sensed ghost rider attacking with his chain.
He turned around, ready dodge the hellish chain. He dodged the chain by moving to the left and got ready to counter-attack but was left hanging when he saw the unmoving ghost rider and the chain flying past him.
Not turning his back to his foe, Chimera used echolocation and 'saw' the chain going towards Kilgrave. He could ha done something, anything, to stop it. But he did nothing.
The burning chain wrapped around Kilgrave's neck, burning him, and with a powerful yank, he was pulled forward.
He flew until he was caught by ghost rider. Feet off the ground, fiery chain wrapped around the neck, and burning skeleton hands to the head, he was presented in front of ghost rider.
"Look into my eyes." The spirit ordered with his ethereal voice as his flaming eyes seemed to glow brighter.
The villain managed to cracked open one of his eyes between all the pain, and he was mesmerized by the ghost's eyes. Kilgrave's own eyeballs started to smoke and soon his eyes were burnt.
He was now tongueless, eyeless and trapped in a coma.
Andrew's eyed the villain with a trace of disdain and got his mind back in the game.
Now without orders, the mind-controlled agents just stood there staring at space while the fight continued.
Ghost rider called his bike and continued to fight Chimera. They traded blows and ghost rider was able to feint a punch where he then wrapped Chimera up in chains. By this time the bike had arrived and he got on it.
Chimera turned his arms into swords to help break or cut the sturdy chain. He had just got out of them when he instinctively jumped and barely avoided being run over.
Chimera closed in on the ghost rider in an instant and delivered a powerful punch to the skeleton's head that managed to daze him for a second. Chimera grabbed the flaming bony arm and immediately flew upwards at his fastest speed, spined vertically, and let go.
As the smoke was about to clear Chimera was already dropping down from a dangerously high altitude. At the last moment, he spun so that he was feet first and used [Heavy stomp].
*BOOOOOOM*
Like a bomb went off the ground cracked and compressed. The earthquake itself shook in a mile diameter.
In the enormous crater was Chimera standing over the remains off Alden Walker, the ghost rider.
Andrew was breathing heavily. He was tired. Mentally that is, after getting [Alpine Swift's stamina] he never felt physically tired since that moment.
Getting out of the crater he was stunned at how quiet the scene was. All the people had been evacuated and there were only SHIELD agents behind, now just staring into nothingness; nobody else dared come near the fight.
He looked down at his suit and sighed. He liked it. But it was starting to annoy him. Every time he fought it easily tore and burned, revealing certain intimate parts best left hidden. He had to do something about it, soon.
Sighing again he searched for Kilgrave. He found him laying on the ground breathing and heart beating, even if in a never-ending coma.
But that was not enough, however.
Andrew was going to kill him. He didn't want to kill anyone ever again, but if he didn't he wouldn't be able to sleep at night and was going to regret it for the rest of his life when something happens because he didn't do the deed, like what has happened now.
Turning his arm into a blade he made his resolve and stabbed Kilgrave through the head. With his senses, he was able to confirm that the villain was finally dead.
Andrew felt like something was stuck in his throat as he threw Kilgrave's corpse into one of the many fires caused by ghost rider, after electrocuting his brain so that there would be nothing anyone could research. Killing never got easier and most likely never will, but Andrew had made his choice, and he was going to follow it through to the very end.

The video was an automatic hit. People talked about it and Andrew's bank account was only getting more zeros.
The changes in this universe were bothering Andrew so he had Pixel look into it. Alden Walker had no records whatsoever about him. Like he just popped out of thin air. He did say something when he was in control so Andrew had an idea where he was from.
The Thompsons were also looked into and Pixel found out that they had been researching how to improve Kilgrave's power way before he showed up. None of this was truly relevant to the timeline though so Andrew wasn't worried yet. he would be when if it affected something much more important down the line.
Andrew had also been researching how to improve his suit. He was driving himself crazy when he remembered how he turns his suit invisible. Every time it happens it felt like he was wearing air. It wasn't touchable but it felt like he was wearing something, something that didn't let air in and was extremely flexible.
"If it can become air... then how about metal...?" Andrew's thoughts leaked outside. He went up to the suit tab and clicked the option to change it. Hundred of different types of clothes appeared and Andrew skipped all of them and looked for a full metal armor used by medieval knights.
It took a slipt of a second for the armor to appear and an 'Oh shit' was murmured by Andrew. Gears started turning in his head at the possibilities as he stared at the metal armor. Next, all the while holding his breath, he searched for a random vibranium armor.
"Error! Unknown material! Sample required!" The screen displayed.
'...' Andrew was fine with that. It was only a matter of time and that was something he had. With a design already in mind, he got ready to leave on a trip once again, this time to acquire vibranium and... some gravitonium.

Nilte Let's just be clear on something. Andrew never went on a killing streak. He only killed Edward, Killian and his test subjects. All the criminals he took out during his time as a vigilante were only crippled, not killed.
