Chapter 15: Where my demons hide
Pixel had found Kilgrave the same day. Andrew preparations were several wireless Bluetooth speakers attached to his person, earplugs, deactivate [Moth's hearing] for safe measure and equipped his Chimera outfit.
He made his way to the mansion Kilgrave was dwelling. Inside there was a file of people that diverged in many paths. Some went to use drugs until they overdosed, others went to a pool and jumped never to come back up, some were burning themselves alive and others who seemed to be having a stabbing contest and many more.
Andrew's disgust and anger grew each second witnessing something so cruel and with no other purpose than amusement.
"Turn the volume to the maximum Pixel." He asked and his loyal AI did it.
Andrew could see a confused Kilgrave coming out of the bedroom with only his pants on wondering what was happening while the mind-controlled people ignored the sound and focused on the 'task' at hand.
Since Kilgrave could only use his powers when someone hears him Andrew's current job was to save the victims. He wasn't a hero and never wanted to be. Nor a vigilante or a villain. He was only someone who saw a despicable act such as controlling someone, and not just blackmailing and pressure people to do something but real mind control and decided to help people.
Andrew put strength in his arms and suddenly clapped his hands. This was a special move he discovered Using four abilities at the same time. First, he would need to have [Elephant's strength] and [Abalone's durability] active. Then he would use [Mantis shrimp's punch] to store energy in his arms but would cancel it before the punch. Before the energy was gone he would use [Pistol Shrimp's snap] and released a powerful shockwave that creates strong winds strong enough to blow people away tens of feet and could even cause permanent hearing damage or in worse cases, even death. He named it Thunder Clap.
Because Andrew held back the victims were only knocked unconscious and were safe for now but it didn't reach the upper floors. But in his anger, he forgot about the speakers and destroyed them. Kilgrave got up grinning even though he was clearly in pain and was about to speak when all the phones, speakers and TVs in the vicinity started to play random songs at the loudest settings.
"Thanks, Pixel." He said relieved to have such a reliable partner backing him up and relieved for not being mind-controlled even though he had the earplugs, its always better safe than sorry.
Kilgrave looked confused and then realized how much trouble he is really in. He tried yelling something to his bodyguards but when it didn't work he quickly whispered in their ear and ran away.
The bodyguards unhosted their guns and started shooting Andrew. After a clip and reload they saw that it had no effect. Following orders, they painted their guns at each other and were about to pull the trigger Andrew used [Water shot] to knock them unconscious.
Using [Bat's echolocation] he was able to find Kilgrave boarding his car. Andrew unleashed his wings and jumped breaking through the mansion roof. He rose up in the air before diving downwards.
Kilgrave was about to make it to the road before Andrew fell on top of the car's engine almost toppling the car and giving the unbuckled Kilgrave a head injury when he crashed into the front window and steering wheel.
Andrew broke through the window and pulled Kilgrave out of the car with multiple glass shards embedded in his flesh.
"YOU F*CKING PIECE OF SH*T!!! HOW CAN YOU DO SOMETHING LIKE THAT JUST FOR AMUSEMENT!?" Andrew had come here to stop Kilgrave from ever getting close to Jessica in the future but he had forgotten how much of a disgusting human being Kilgrave was. His anger took over and something he kept hidden away was unleashed.
With the music from the phone and the car's stereo, Andrew threw Kilgrave a good ten feet in the air.
"Urghhh!" he fell on the road on his back and Andrew could hear ribs breaking and fracturing but he didn't care. He was only seeing red.
He slowly walked to the scared Kilgrave and stopped in front of him before suddenly using [Heavy stomp] on his right leg, crushing his knee.
"Ahhhhh!!!" Kilgrave screamed.
"YOU ARE DONE DIPSH*T! DONE YOU HEAR ME!!!" Andrew yelled loud enough for him to hear as he kicked him in the side. Kilgrave rolled on the ground, stopping ten feet away.
Andrew grabbed his collar and slap him. Kilgrave started to bleed through his mouth and Andrew slapped again.
Even though he was bleeding and had cracked bones, Kilgrave tried to go for a last hurrah. Since he was so close to the man hurting him he tried to remove the earplugs in his ear.
Andrew felt the hair on his arms rise and moved his head back on instinct as Kilgrave tried to take his earplugs.
Andrew stared at the man in front of him for a second before head butting him and using [Electric Ell's discharge] at the same time. Kilgrave laid down on the ground paralyzed and in too much pain to move even if he could.
"Pixel turn off the music," Andrew commanded. After a couple of seconds of still hearing muffled music, he said again. "I'm sure you're worried but I will be fine," Andrew said coldly and the music stopped.
"You know," Andrew started " I came here with the objective of apprehending you, maybe just give you to the authorities or SHIELD but... after what I've truly seen what you are capable of there is no way I will them just take you and have you 'mysteriously' disappear. No no no no you will just be remembered as a pathetic, unknown, tongueless old man." Andrew finished saying.
Realization dawned on Kilgrave as he realized what that meant. He looked like he wanted to trash around and run away but he could only move his eyes.
"Remember this 'Kilgrave'," Andrew said his name with a mocking tone and threatened the man "If you ever and I mean ever talk about what happened here or reveal that you 'had' powers to anyone I promise I won't be pretty." Andrew's right arm transformed into a blade-like shape. It looked sharp enough to easily cut into flesh and was colored the same as his skin, making look a bit creepy.
Andrew opened Kilgrave's mouth and grabbed his tongue. The man's eyes looked like he was pleading and saying that he regretted all that he had done. Andrew mouthed the words 'too late' and in one clean slash severed Kilgrave's tongue. He watched as the man's mouth overfill with blood and cried. He would very soon die if nothing was done but that wasn't Andrew's goal so he used a concentrated and short electrocution on whatever remained of Kilgrave's tongue, cauterizing it and he passed out.
*police sirens*
Andrew's smirk faded away and his mind cleared up as he saw how far he had gone.
"Please delete all the footage of what happened here Pixel..." Andrew whispered while thinking about a lot of things.
"Yes, Sir." Pixel said," And Miss Jones messaged asking if you would come over tonight, by the way." Pixel added.
"...Tell her I can't tonight, I'll make it up to her later. I need some time alone..." He said taking off into the night sky camouflaged.
