Chapter 77: They wanted Wan Jia
Yun Xuan was angry. "What do you mean 'so'"? Besides, had you not agreed to help me come up with a plan?
"Yeah…" she said leisurely.
"WANWAN!" Yun Xuan roared.
"Becoming a tiger now huh? Hahaha" she enjoyed Yun Xuan's anger for a while. "Why don't you call him and apologize for being late? Oh, let me talk to him instead."
She snatched the phone from the confused Yun Xuan and looked for his contact. "Luo Gishen, is it?" Yun Xuan nodded like a lifeless robot.
[Mr. Luo, I apologize for being tardy. I have a very important matter to handle; I'll be there in thirty minutes.]

"What did you send him? Let me see." She peered over.
"Wanwan! How am I supposed to appear in Royal Hotel within thirty minutes, I haven't even dressed up! That, and the fact that it should take at least two hours if I'm going to go back home and dress up, not to mention make up."
"Did you not say you want him to hate you? No man likes exaggeratively late women. Let's get you dressed up." She dragged her to Southside Villas after ordering something online.
Thirty minutes were long over.
[Mr. Luo, I'm almost done. Please help me order Australian lobster, braised pork ribs...] she ordered a few of Yun Xuan's favorite dishes.

[Be careful on the road] the man added, gaining a sneer from Wan Jia.
"Now let's dress up the queen of the date." She looked at the freaked out Yun Xuan.
She was done pretty fast.
"Boo! What the heck am I wearing?!" Yun Xuan's scream almost blew off the rooftop. She looked at the dress Wan Jia had ordered online just now and the thick make up that made her almost unrecognizable.
"Wanwan, there's such a thing as too much makeup. And the dress is too sparkly and the perfume---- do you think I'm going to the night club? It's a date and.it's.still.daytime! How can I go looking like a disco ball? How are you even a designer?"
Wan Jia ignored her barrage of questions and added a dark colored wig on her head and shiny earrings.
"So the important thing you were doing was looking for your earrings, okay?"
Yun Xuan looked like her life had been hollowed out of her body. "I don't like this idea at all but if it's what it takes to avoid this marriage then fine, I'll look like an ugly frog just for today."
"What ugly frog? You would look perfect if you were going to…you know… unspoken places."

Did you wait too long, Mr. Luo?" Yun Xuan deliberately dragged a chair noisily and sat down. Even her sitting posture exuded of rudeness. This was not how a carefully brought up lady should act. It should rile him up. To her delight, he scowled at her. Hmm, this disgusting look was worth it.
"If you didn't want to come on a date with me, you should have been honest."
"What?" she froze guiltily.
"I expected such a trick. Don't you have a boyfriend? "So he had seen through her trick? How troublesome. On the bright side, he would be mad at her.
"I didn't have a choice, and since you knew I have a boyfriend, why did you insist on this blind date?"
The man studied her eyes. He had been studying them since she walked in.
He picked his ringing phone to answer a call in a low voice. All she could hear from his mumbling was...

The blue folders…no those are the fake drafts…forget about the real ones…ok"
"Since you don't want to be married to me, how about we become friends?" he gazed at her eyes again.
Yun Xuan felt uneasy. Was there something especially attractive about her eyes? Before she could answer, the door to their private room banged open and several masked men hopped in.
"What's happening? Who are you?"
Yun Xuan was tied up even before she could think of fighting back and her mouth was covered. Everything happened extremely fast. Before she realized what exactly was happening, she was bundled up in a van.
Who were these people? Where were they taking her?
Wait, she realized something.
When those men came in, Luo Gishen seemed to be entranced for a moment before he tried to fight them. In just a few seconds, he had hit two of them onto the floor.
However, if anyone were to use common sense, if someone you care about were to be tied up, the first instinctive reaction would be to fight the one closest to them, not the one farthest.
Also, she wasn't skilled in martial arts herself but from what she had learned from her father and brothers, she could see that Luo Gishen's fighting was quite sloppy. Yet he managed to topple two mercenaries. Wasn't that too questionable? Unless it was all planned out.
Most importantly, that man kept staring at her eyes…. And that phone call… could it be his way of discreetly passing a message to the other party?
If things were just as she was imagining, then it was terrifying. That man set up this whole blind date thing, betting that she would do what she did in the past – ask Wan Jia to replace her.
Then earlier he was just trying to confirm her identity and had that 'blue' 'fake' conversation to tell them that she was Wan Jia? That meant she wasn't their target, Wan Jia was!
