Chapter 34: Goodbye
Skye has been going to school every day mostly to tutor Mulan. If he's not going to school he will call her and she will come to his villa. Skye has been teaching her for two whole months now and they were a bit awkward when they met in school after that kiss but as days go by, they've forgotten about it. You can say that they're good friends now but they aren't that deep that they want to start dating.
After classes, skye was walking in the halls. He went to luna's class and the moment he did, he saw girls looking at him with a love struck face. He hated it. He ignored them and went to where luna was seated. She was busy hugging her friends that she didn't even notice the handsome alien waiting patiently for her.
After at least five minutes, skye got tired on waiting for her so he said calmly "I'm waiting for you in the car!" then he left the class. When luna heard him, she wanted to go but she had to hug her friends because she will miss them so bad. The students in the class didn't find it weird because from the information they got, skye's and luna's parents are just childhood friends so there's nothing wrong about them going to school together.
Skye was now in the parking lot, about to open the door when someone called his name. He turns around and saw Mulan running towards him, while crying! She hugged him tightly as she said " I'm going to miss my teacher. Thank you for everything you've done for me! I wanted to say goodbye before you left" she was crying softly as she said all of this. She has somehow gotten use to skye being around, he shows her what this world is like, he taught her how to cook delicious food and how to take care of herself in this cruel world. Even pica was going to miss Skye, she also got use to seeing the handsome alien everyday with her master and he was in the list of her special people. But the main reason is because of milo. She's going to miss him. It's not easy to find another mystical beast like you in a world that they don't even exist. But she knows that she won't ever see him again, because she will be gone!
Seeing her cry, skye felt a slight pain in his heart and he didn't like it at all, so he hugged her back at he console her "Hey its not like I'm dying or anything! You still have my number don't you? You can just call me if you miss me, okay" He Said as he wiped off the droplets of tears on her cheeks. Mulan nodded, she waved her hands at him as she said goodbye and went back to school, ready for her next class.
Luna was watching them from afar, she has already knew that skye was Mulan's tutor and she didn't like it at all but she can't force someone to love her, so she tried pushing those thoughts out of her head but seeing them so affectionate towards each other, she could help but feel a bit pain in her heart. She wanted to cry but no tears came out.
She walks towards the car with a gloomy face. The chauffeur opened the door for her but she just gave him a sad smile before she entered. Seeing her like this the chauffeur couldn't help but sigh deeply, he knows how this girl is crazy about his second young master and he already saw her looking at them form afar. He couldn't help but pity the girl, he knows that they won't get married in this life. His second young master is the most stubborn person in his family and nothing can change his mind if he already set his mind on that particular thing.
When luna sat down on the leather seat, she averted her gaze and looked outside. Feeling the gloomy atmosphere skye turns towards her and asked softly "What's wrong with you?"
Luna turns her head towards him with her eyes watering as she asked "Do you like her?"
Skye looks at her with a complicated face, he couldn't say that he doesn't like her and he also couldn't say that he does either.
Seeing the look that he was giving her, she got her answer. She looks away from his face as said " Do you love her?"
" I... Don't think I do!" he has to admit that he does enjoy spending time with her but not going as far as saying he loves her, right.
She looks at him again as she asked softly "Do you want to get married to me?"
Skye's eyes averted to his side before he said "Luna I don't really love you. I just take you as my little sister. Even if I get married to you, I won't ever look at you as my wife but as a little sister. Do you really want someone who doesn't love you to marry you? Do you want a loveless relationship with someone that doesn't even consider you his wife? Is that what you really want? I know what I'm saying to you now might hurt you but... I don't want to lie to you! I want to tell you the truth "Skye said while looking at her with sincere eyes.
Luna listened to what he said before she hugged him, surprising skye in the process. She said softly" Thank you for not lying to me. Thank you for telling me how you truly feel. I promise I will convince my parents to dissolve this engagement before it even started and I will find someone who loves me, I won't go back to my usual habit of chasing men. I promise "
Skye rubbed her back gently and said" Good girl. You should love someone who loves you too okay. You'll be happier "
