Chapter 30: Deadly smile
After the girls left, it was like skye's aura from a minute ago, was never even there. It quickly dissipated into thin air. His mood changed as he went back to his usual self. He carried the books he bought and walks up to the frozen girl if front of him, seeing her still dazed from the what happened a minute ago, he snapped his fingers to wake her up.
When Mulan finally snapped out of her trance, she looks up at skye when she suddenly noticed the books he was holding in his hands. The minute she figured out what was happening, she gave Skye a pleading look, making her look more adorable than she already is. Skye looks at her with utter shock written all over his face. He didn't expect her to make such a face, he was assigned as her tutor, so he is going to help her with what she doesn't understand and from how she behaves in class, he could already tell that she can't understand English. It was like torture for her when the teacher was teaching.
Mulan looks at skye and gave him the puppy dog eyes as she asked softly " Am I going to read all of these books?" seeing Skye nodding at her question, she felt like crying. In all her life she has never met something that was as hard to understand as the language called English. It was extremely hard and the original body owner seems to be terrible at the language so her only option now is to listen and learn it from her tutor. But still, she wanted to at least try her luck in getting out of the torture she's about to be in.
" But these books are really thick. How am I suppose to finish it?" She asked as her head fell onto the table with a loud thud. She wanted him to have pity on her and lessen her torture.
Skye looks at her completely bewildered. He can't understand why she's making that face as if she's on the verge of crying. He finds it so weird because she is making all this face because of English. A language that is ten times easier than learning Korean language.
" How many subjects do you find difficulties with?" Skye asked gently as he already figured out that English is something that the previous body owner doesn't understand, so he wants to help her as soon as possible because he will be leaving this school in two months time and go back home. A place where he understands what the people around him are saying.
Mulan raised her head a little and placed her head on her arm, looking outside the window as she said. " Mathematics, English, French and Japanese. I think that's all"
Skye's eyes lit up as the things she's terrible at where quite easy for him. He was actually scared she will say Korean. So he said calmly but one can still hint the slight happiness in his voice. "Easy, But first you need to read these books at home and tomorrow I will start tutoring you. These are the basic steps of learning English and French. If you can't understand other subjects, don't hesitate to tell me and..." Skye fished out his pen from his pocket and opened the book and wrote down his phone number on the hard cover, which was something quite rear. The people who have his phone number can be counted with fingers because they only include his friends or family. Skye continued " You can call me anytime if you don't understand anything, okay! And I mean it when I say anything"
Mulan looks at him, surprised. He was given her his time just to tutor her and he even said she should give him a call whenever she didn't understand anything. Life in this new world would be a lot easier because of him. So she was really grateful for that.
She looks at Skye and skye at the moment just finished writing his phone number and the moment he lifted his head, their eyes met. They gazed at each others eyes for a good minute before skye said to break the awkward silence.
" Do you want to say something?"
" Thank you!" Mulan said sincerely. Her eyes showing him how grateful she truly is.
"It's not--" He didn't even finish his sentence before Mulan cut him off. " No I'm really thankful to you. You saved my life,
Took me to the hospital and paid for my hospital fees but you still said it was nothing and now you're tutoring me, giving me your time just to be my teacher. So I'm really thankful to you! Thanks so much for all that you've done to me even when I am a stranger to you! Thank you" Skye just listened to all she said calmly. He didn't think what he did deserve all that thanks from her but he was touched by her. So he said sincerely with his deadly gorgeous smile that reveals his cute dimples as he Said " I thank you too! And you're welcome"
When Mulan saw his smile, her nose almost bleed. All this time she has been trying not to show it but his smile was really out of this world. It was like a bright sun that shine through the darkness of the world, bringing live to the world. After a minute, Mulan came back to earth after seeing his deadly smile. Her heart began to palpitate in her chest as she can hear how fast it was beating that she started praying Skye wouldn't hear it.
' No wonder my dear author called it a deadly smile' Mulan said inwardly and glaring at the poor author for not warning her earlier (in her head)

Mulan finally opened her mouth to speak but her voice was trembling because of skye's attack a minute ago " Yo--You're welcome too"
