Chapter 4: Weapons Training
In the morning I got up and went down to the dining room and they asked me what I wanted. I asked for cereal and orange juice. After breakfast, I went to my room and on my bed was my schedule. Next to it was a paper with pictures of different weapons.
There was a sword with a curved blade, then there was a knife, then a long sword with a straight blade. I put down the paper and picked up the schedule. I had an etiquette class in an hour, then a weapons class, which is what the other paper was probably for. Then after that, I had a magic lesson. Then lunch, followed by a bunch of other lessons. Thankfully the schedule had the location of all the lessons. I headed toward the main hall where a tall woman with blond hair and light grey eyes.
"Welcome to royalty class," the woman said,
"My name is Eve."
"First we must change your appearance." She walked toward a door and motioned for me to follow.
When I entered the room I saw a giant vanity next to a dresser filled with beautiful linen gowns, thankfully there were some linen shirts and shorts, which are my normal attire.
Eve directed me toward the vanity and pulled out what looked likes an eyeliner stencil but instead of putting around my eye she moved it toward my eye and put it on my face.
"Okay, let's do your wardrobe," Eve said, she walked toward the wardrobe and pulled out a fine storm grey dress made of the best linen I have ever seen
"Beautiful, I love the color," I said,
"I think it brings out my eyes."
"Well if you like this one, check this out!" Eve exclaimed pulling out a pitch-black dress, I gave her a thumbs up.
After I got done with Royalty class I went to my room and put away my new clothes after I selected a storm grey shirt and short I noticed a pair of black leather combat boots. I slipped them on and headed toward the arena for weapons training. When I got there I saw Ayden standing in front of a wall of weapons
"Hello, Ana," Ayden said,
"I see you got my gift." He said pointing at my boots.
"Yeah thanks, now can you explain this lesson," I said,
"Alright, today I am going to show you the basics of weapons and how to use them," Ayden said,
"By the way, your kohl on your eyes is good my mother did a good job."
"Okay," I said, Ayden turned around and pulled out the sword with the curved blade and showed it to me
"This is a Khopesh it is used by the guard," Ayden said.
After he explained the other two weapons he gave me my choice of weapon and I choose the Khopesh, Ayden chooses it too.
"Now we are going to do a practice duel," Ayden said. I got into the ready position and attacked I swung and got hold of his blade and twisted the blade and his sword came crashing to the ground.
"Wow, you're a natural!" Ayden exclaimed
"I am going to let class off early." And with that, I left.
"Guys, I am worried. She is getting really good, today she beat me at a duel. She told me that she hasn't ever touched a weapon and she has similar taste in weapons and she has the same temper, if not worst." I said,
"Ayden don't be paranoid, she won't be anything like her brother," Leon said,
"About that she kind of overheard us talk about him so now she knows," I said
"What!" Eve said,
"But I must disagree, Leon, she took an interest in the same colors and designs as he did."
"Mom your not helping!" Hazel exclaimed,
"Where is Cassie?" Leon asked
"Teaching Ana magic control," I said
"We have got to make sure Ana doesn't turn out like Charlie," Eve said. We all knew that would be bad, very bad.
