It wasn't long after the incident that we had to go on our selected mission. It seems that Professor Freeze is going to watch over us and make sure that we are performing our duties as huntsman and huntresses well. I look at my equipment and wonder if I should bring the armor and the grimoire as well. I decided that bringing the grimoire is too dangerous since there's no telling what I'm going to encounter on my mission. I'll just hide it well. In all honesty, the only person who would able to find it is Ozpin and I doubt he'll sneak into my room. I'm taking the armor but I'm not going to be wearing it instead of my regular clothes. I'm going to disguise it as a bracelet on my arm just in case things go really bad. I get dressed in my official huntsman outfit and bring all my weapons along as well. I meet everyone else in front of the school and look over to see how they were all doing. Everybody seems relatively prepared and ready to go except Olga. He has all of his equipment but I feel that he would rather sleep in bed than go out on this mission.
We headed toward the meeting point for the mission to find out that the people that we are escorting is a merchant family trying to sell their goods to the next town over. The family was comprised of six people who were all brothers and sisters. They told us that they usually don't come this way because of the bandits that live in the mountain but the people in the next town over have an abnormal desire for some fine wine so they want to take the opportunity to go to the town as quickly as possible and make a decent profit. The family seemed nice and I doubt the bandits are going to be expecting professional huntsman so it should be a relatively easy mission. They were transporting the goods in a large truck while team JOKE was in a car in front of them to prevent anything from happening. Kim was driving a nice black car with Olga riding shotgun and Eve sitting in the back. I was riding my Nevermore in the sky above with the professor to make sure that if anything approached then we could prepare for it but so far I didn't see any massive movement from above.
Olga: I can't believe we chose this mission out of all the options we could've chosen.
Kim: Lighten up, I know it might not be the most action-packed mission but this allows us to work as a team before the tournament starts.
Olga: The words of a beauty pick me right up in all kinds of ways.
Eve: Why is it that I hate every word that comes out of your mouth?
Olga: Its because you know I'm right.
Eve: That's definitely not the case.
Olga: I'm alone in a car with two beauties who love me. It's my very own personal harem with no guys in the way to mess it up for me.
Kim: I'm taken already and no offense Olga, you're not my type.
Olga: I still in shock that you like our leader Jack of all people. I'm better than him in every conceivable way. My looks, charm, and skill all far surpass him. It's like comparing a baby fish to an adult shark.
Eve: Says the guy who was just released from jail. They probably put you in there because you flirt with any woman you see and thought you were harassing someone.
Olga: For your information, they accused me of helping out Calamity escape from Atlas forces.
Kim: Calamity? Did you encounter him?
Olga: I wasn't sane at the time.
Eve: Are you ever?
Olga: I mean that someone took control of my body and forced me to help them. I don't remember much but when I woke up, I was in handcuffs.
Kim: That sounds like Dark Phantom.
Olga: I know. The next time I see him, I'm giving him a piece of my mind.
Kim: That's if you see him again, he evaded everyone for so long it's going to be hard to catch him if you're serious.
Olga: It's more likely to happen than my dreams coming true. Wait for a second, I smell someone heading toward this direction.
Eve: Are you serious?
Olga: Yes, I'll check it out and make sure that its nothing. If its just one bandit wondering from their group than its nothing to worry about but if they plan an ambush up ahead then we can get some info from him and get in front of it. We don't want everyone to separate from the clients after all. Tell Jack, I'll be back soon.
The group stops the car and the truck stops behind them. Olga dashes into the forest at the mountain's base and disappears. I just in case I circle the area in the sky above to see if I can catch anything. Everything seemed clear until I heard a screech from the Nevermore and see it disappear. Professor and I fell from the sky and had to perform our own landing strategy. I summon my glyphs and create platforms that I could jump onto to my fall easier. I land next to the car and observe my surroundings. The forest around us seem to shake and it was clear to me know that this was the trap and that we were down one member. Olga, where did you go?
Out of the forest came a swarm of men fully armed with a weapon in hand, ready to fight. This isn't the time to be separated from the group, Olga. I take out my weapon, Light, and position myself behind the truck. I tell Kim and Eve to guard the front of the truck while I summon Grimm to protect the sides of the truck. Bagel seems oddly excited to be summoned to fight. He immediately charges towards the bandits and tries to smash one of them. The bandits seem surprised to see the Grimm at first but they quickly compose themselves and brace themselves for the attack. I turn the dial to fire and slash at the nearest bandit. Surprisingly, he dodges out of the way of the attack easily and another bandit comes in to attack me. I counter with Light and kick him away. They seem to be experienced fighters and know how to help each other out. They would be much easier to deal with if I didn't have to protect the truck and people inside. I just hope that everyone else is doing okay since I don't have the luxury to take my eyes of the people in front of me. I turn the dial to ice and stab Light into the ground to freeze the surface. I instantly jumped toward the nearest bandit and slashed him across the chest. I turn around kicked the hand ax out of a bandit's hand stab Light into his leg. He screamed in pain as a looked to the rest of them. They mostly looked unperturbed by the situation and if anything they seemed to be angry that I dared to attack them. I guess that inciting fear and panic isn't going to work either. This is going to be harder than I thought.
