Chapter 67: I told you Mindy healed me. 67

I spent the last few days being checked over and over by the healers. They could not believe how fast I was healing. Even my broken bones were healed.
They had finally caught the two men and had them in a cell and Commander Charles asked me to double check to see if they were the ones that attack me.
As I stare through the cell a fear came over me. They were the men. After I left i took a walk to clear my mind. I missed Ax very much it had been 11 days now that he had been gone. I wondered when he would be home.
I then noticed thunder was in the pasture. Ax was home so I run back to our quarters to find him.
I run in and throw my arms around his neck and kisses him as if there was no tomorrow.
"I can't believe it, If I did not know you were hurt I would never have believed it. You are all healed and the cast that was on your leg is gone. It should of taken weeks. What happened?" He asked.
"I told you Mindy healed me. It just took time since she is not born yet."
"I really missed you. I have two people I want you to meet."
Robert came out of the bedroom. "This is my dad Robert. Dad this is Laevigatae."
"It's Lae, nice to meet you." I say holding out my hand.
Robert goes to shake it but pulls him in for a hug. "Nice to meet you son. Just a little bit of advice. When Adam comes out, hug him right away. If you try to shake his hand you'll make him cry." Robert grins.
"Ok." I am scared now. I see Ax just shake his head. I really don't want to make a bad impression and have his dad cry.
When Adam came out Ax went to introduce him.
"Dad this is Laevigatae. Lae is this my dad Adam."
I go over and hugs him tight and Adam starts to cry uncontrollably.
"You said he would cry if I shook his hand." I say not knowing what to do.
Ax smiled, "My dad lied. You just made my dad's day by hugging him."
"This is my new favorite person in the whole wide world. You have to marry him because I am not letting him go." Adam said.
"Help me." I say.
"Dad let Lae go." Ax said pulling me out of his dad's arms.
Adam wipes his tears as Robert pulls him in for a hug.
"Sorry, I did not mean to make you cry." I say.
"If was my fault. Adam is very emotional and hugs are his super trigger." Robert said.
"Where's Daisy?" Adam asked.
"Getting food she should be back soon." Ax says pulling me over the couch and into his lap.
It was a little uncomfortable being this intimate in front of his dads but it looked like he was not letting go.
"Tenninax, said you were hurt bad." Adam said.
"I was, your granddaughter healed me. Mindy will be a great healer when she is born." I said.
"Wait, you met Anna's child and it's a girl." Adam said.
"Yes, I met her at the cross roads. She first healed my sole, and then the past week my body healed really fast." I explained.
When Daisy was back we all sat and ate. They told me about some of the pranks Ax would play. If this was what it was like to have a family I really wanted one.
After dinner they sat and Daisy and Adam played with Jake. Then Adam helped Daisy get ready for bed and read her a story before retiring.
Ax and I headed to our room.
"This has been the longest 11 days of my life. I really missed you." Ax said getting into his night cloths.
"I missed you too. I did not sleep well with you gone. I was afraid that you would get hurt and I would not be there to save you. I still have not figured out that poem."
"Don't worry. What will be, will be." he says pulling me close to him.
"I went over all the files and made detailed notes. When you want we can meet with Charles and Jackson about the rest of the staff."
"That's sounds good. I also need to talk to the woman again. I need to know who on staff I can push or not. Hopefully we can find a few to take care of the pusher we just imprisoned."
"How did you capture him?"
"I didn't my dad Robert did because he can't be pushed."
I lay there and listen to him tell me about the trip and capturing the prisoners. When he got to the part about almost getting shot my body ran cold.
"I'm glad he was there to save you. I know you can push me but have you tried Daisy?"
"No, I guess I should find out tomorrow. She has three powers I know about, she might have more."
"Three?" I ask.
"She is a telepath, Life reader, and fated love reader." He says.
"I know she can talk with her mind but the other two?"
"She can read auras. Ours are Blue and Gold. She says it turns red when we are together. Blue is honest and Gold is loyal. Red must be passionate but I would need to check that to be sure."
"She told me once she seen colors around people. I did not believe her."
"She can. I knew what my aura colors were from my birth mom. She can read them too. So when Daisy said she seen mine and I asked and she was right."
"Ok what about the fated love reader?" I asked.
"She can see the strings that tie people. We have one that ties us together." He says.
"I guess that is really cool. Better then my power to distract people."
"You said your Dad is an amplifier, what is your other dad?"
"That is a little hard to explain. He can tell what anything is made up of. That is what makes him such a great cook. He can also calm anyone down."
We talked till neither of us could keep our eyes open then fell asleep in each others embrace.
