Chapter 61: Your bed is bigger. 61

As I sit in Ax's office and read the files I have to admit this is boring. I don't like just sitting. Being a thief is so much more fun. I read all the files and the last one is Ax's friend Jillian.
She is not a good guard. Why do they keep her?
"What do you think?" Ax says as I look up.
"Not sure, what is written down is one impression; Everyone seems good but one."
"Which one?" He asked
"Your friend Jillian." I can't help but be a little upset at this woman.
"I know. We will go over these with Charles then tomorrow afternoon we will meet with each one of these people. I'll let Charles set up the time frame."
We wait a little while for Charles to come. I just sit back and make notes on all the things he says. I was glad that they did not ask me any question and they both agreed to send Jillian away.
After everything was over and a plan was in place for tomorrow, Ax and I headed back to his quarters.
"What did you think of your first day?" he ask.
"The work is easy so far. But being a thief is more fun." I smirked as I tease him.
I then am surprise that he pushed me up against the wall, "The only thing you can steal now is a kiss." he said and then kissed me. I did not want this to stop so I placed my arms around his neck and the kiss deepened. I could not really control myself. Then we heard a girl giggle and we broke apart to see two maids running down the hall.
I blushed red and pushed him away and we headed home.
My sister was no where to be seen and her dog was asleep.
"I'm going to take a bath and get out of this uniform." Ax said heading towards his room so I headed to mine.
I fall onto my bed. I touch my lips. I wanted more of Ax but why did I do that where anyone could see.
I feel my face becoming red again. I pull out my journal to write down my feeling.
Confused, love his touch, his kisses. Want to be near him but also want to push him away.
I get jealous because of his friendship with that girl. I feel protected by him and a little scared by him. Slept well next to him and want that more but also miss being alone. ????? What do I do?
I then hear a knock on the door, 'Dinner is ready.' Daisy said.
I open my door to her lovely smile. "Thanks, did you have a good day?"
She shook her head yes then placed a bowl of stew down for her dog. As she eats she tells me everything she did today from cleaning the bath room to changing all the sheets. She even found a good area to take Jake to play out in the court yard.
After dinner I help her clean up and when we get back she plays with her doll. It nice seeing her be a child again. We had to grow up way to fast. I start to look at a book but can not really get into reading it.
I look over and Ax is sitting at the desk writing. I wonder what he writing about. I pretend to read as I secretly watch him. He is very handsome. I wonder what he would look like with a beard.
I then see him put the papers in a mail pouch and head out the door. He must of wrote a letter about the man that he wanted to pardon.
While he is gone I take my bath and put on my night shirt and a pair of pants. When I sit down to pet Jake, Ax is back with three pieces of cake.
Daisy smiled when she saw the cake, 'Is this for us?'
"Yes I thought we needed cake." He handed her a piece and then handed one to me.
"Thanks." I tell him.
He sat down next to me as we ate. When we are done Daisy asked, 'Do you want me to run these to the kitchen?'
"No just get ready for bed. You can send them back when you get breakfast." He told her.
She smiles and runs off to take a bath. He gets up and gets a comb and ribbon and sits down. He the pulls me over and has me sit in front of him.
He starts combing my hair getting out the few tangles I missed then braids it and ties it with the black ribbon.
I touch it. He has a way of making me fill handsome and loved at the same time.
When Daisy comes out he combs her hair and braids it up around her head. She looks so cute that way. We take Jake to her room were I tell her a story of Jake the hero pug that saves Princess Daisy from a dragon. When she is fast asleep I head out to find the living area empty. The door to the bath room is open and no one is there.
Should I look for him or maybe I should go to my own room tonight. He may not like sleeping next to me since I woke up so close to him this morning.
I decide that it would be better to not bug him so I head back to my room with my heart hurting a little at not getting to see him before I fall asleep.
As I take off my pants and start to get into bed my door opens.
"Are we sleeping in here tonight then?" he asked.
"I did not want you to feel like I was being clingy."
"Laevigatae after last night I am not sleeping alone again. We can sleep in here or in there but we will share a bed from now on." He said.
I smile at him. "Your bed is bigger."
"Then tomorrow you move your things to our room. This will be a guest room from now on." He said picking me up and carrying me out of the room.
My heart was soaring. If this is love then I like it.
