Chapter 33: Set Sail

As I walk down the hill I see a tall hefty man waiting for me. I can't help but smile.
"Did you have a nice visit?" he asked.
"Yes, I just wanted to say good bye to Mabel." I say taking his hand.
"I still think she is getting younger." He said.
"Could you see her?"
"Yes, you were laying on her lap and she braided your hair." He pointed to the braid in her hair.
I am surprised. So far the only ones besides me and Lillian who are Oracles to see Mabel is my mother.
"How did you find me? Not many people know where the Oracle hill is."
"I followed the the fairy light here." he said.
"Fairy light?"
"A small ball of light. We call them fairy lights. When one appears it can either get you lost or lead you home. Since I was looking for my fairy I knew it would lead me to you."
We walked hand in hand back to the cottage. The dawn was just coming so we sat in the garden and watched the sun come up. I told him why I went to see Mabel and the fear I am feeling.
"I still can not say why in your dream I turned against you but I would never do so in my right mind. Lean on me and help me to never betray you." He said.
It was almost dawn so they watched the sun come up. Then Robert and Adam came with a wagon to load her things up.
"Your father needs to see you before you leave."Adam said.
"Ok Uncle I go right now." I turn to Michael, "I will meet you at the docks."
He kissed me and went to helping my Uncles load my things.
I ran all the way down the path to the Castle. I then washed my face and went to my fathers study.
I knocked, "May I come in your Majesty?"
"Come in my daughter or should I call you 'Your Majesty of Brytana'" he laughed that soft laugh I loved.
"My Uncles are loading my things for the boat. I have come to say good bye."
"It is not good bye, but until we see each other again. The reason I asked you to come is Mabel gave me a book before she died. It has been sealed in this box since then. I do not know what is in it. She said when it was time to give it to you and says not to open it until you really had no other hope."
I take the box. It is beautiful. Mabel told her the same thing last night about only opening it when she really needed it.
My mother followed by Tenninax, Telinanna, Henry, and Lillian in.
"Telinanna, keep your brother honest. Marry that man the bunny found. If I can make it back I will try to come see you marry."
"Tenninax, Be good you are just as powerful as my mother. Keep getting stronger. You have important work that will come. You will know when the time comes."
"Lillian, The cottage is now yours. Keep improving and listen to Mabel she is the best teacher. Also when it's time let love into your heart."
"My brother Henry, I will miss you the most. The answer to the question you keep asking is yes, just give it time."
"Mother" I fly into her arms. "I am scared, but I know this is the path I must take."
"My dear child, when I was your age I was alone and on the run. I was scared too. Being scared can keep you alert and alive. You have found a good man. His aura is beautiful and strong. I also see the golden bond that ties you together."
My father then pulled me into a hug. Be safe my child. I trust you and your power. You saved your mother and brother when you were but a seed in your mothers womb. You saved this world from an invasion at the age of three. I have always been proud and I believe in you. I also know you will be back to visit. Bring my sister with you."
I was holding back my tears. When my father called one of his guards to take me to the docks.
There my Uncles were waiting.
Adam pulled me in for a hug. "I'll miss you. You take care and come back to visit."
"Uncle Adam, Thank you for always being there for me with your babies. Watch over my cousins they have important roles to play in our world."
"Uncle Robert, I will miss your cooking. I will also miss your kind ear. You are the only one who would sit and listen to my ramblings."
They both smiled then Robert handed me a basket full of bread and cookies.
I laugh and Michael walked over to help me on the ship. My tears fall as I walk up the gang plank. I realize that I am saying goodbye to my old life and the security of my family.
As we set sail Michael holds me tight. "I'll bring you back soon. When my country is settled my love."
I watch until I can no longer see Pawā Nation then headed into the cabin that would be home for the next 10 day.
I find my treasure box and pull out the blanket I place the book box in.
I take a deep breath of the blanket. It smells of Michael.
"If you miss me that much I can always stay by your side?"
"It's not that I miss you I just needed to be reminded of your smell." I laugh as he pulls me close and kissed me. He pulls me to the bed.
"We can't do this know." I say.
"Why not, I'm not needed up top right now and neither are you but I do need you here and now."
