Chapter 16: Open When You Feel Insecure

'I look horrible...' Virgil thought as he looked in the mirror at his makeup work. Virgil hadn't told anyone that he liked wearing makeup or sometimes cross-dress. 'Roman can't love me like this...'

Virgil walked over to the satchel and looked through the cards. He stopped at one that said 'Open when you feel insecure'. Virgil opened it.

'Dear Virgil,

You're feeling insecure about yourself. It could be about your looks or something else. Don't feel insecure. You always look stunning to me. Even in the morning when you wake up. Or should I say afternoon? Anyways, if I say you look beautiful, I mean it. I would never joke about something like this.

~Roman'

Virgil smiled. This was definitely going to be a test. Virgil went to his closet and changed into a black and purple long-sleeved dress. He was also going to wear the makeup that he put on. Virgil took a deep breath and walked out of his room.

He saw Roman also going out of his room. Virgil stared at him. Roman felt his gaze and turned to look at him only to blush and look at the outfit.

"V-Virgil... are you wearing makeup and a d-dress?" Roman asked.

"Yeah, why? Do I not look good?" Virgil asked and looked down at his outfit.

"What? No! You do look good. Better than good actually. You look beautiful." Roman said, panicked.

"Oh... t-thank you." Virgil stuttered.

"You're welcome, emo nightmare."
