Chapter 95: My Baby
Desha Arrived at the Mehra Mansion, the maids came down to the car, and helped her with her luggages. Namaste Grandma, namaste mum, Desha greeted both her mum and grandmother who just came out from the kitchen. Actually grandma Mehra had just finished teaching mother Lakshmi how to bake sweets chocolate caramel rolls.
It was Uncle Mehra's favourite, so mother Lakshmi decided to bake those for the few invited guests the next day who were attending the final rites of Uncle Mehra in remembrance of him. Well it was not that Lakshmi wasn't capable of baking those sweet caramel rolls, she just wanted to bake them exactly the way Uncle Mehra had loved them.
Desha had finished touching the feets of both her grandmother and mother, she only stood up after they each placed their hands on her head in turns and blessed her. How are preparations for your exams coming child? Grandma Mehra asked her.
Well grandma it's fine, it's just that, well all is well grandma, I think I should go upstairs to my room, am really exhausted. It's just ....? before mother Lakshmi had finished her question, Desha ran upstairs to her room. As soon as she closed the door, she went for her bed and lied down. Thinking about Shamu, She sobbed for a very long time before she fell her asleep
Downstairs, mother Lakshmi assured grandma Mehra that she doesn't need to worry, she guessed that it must be because of Uncle Mehra, although he had died a long time ago, just thinking about it, seemed like yesterday. When mother Lakshmi was done explaining to grandma Mehra, tears rolled down their cheeks.
At this point, Grandpa Mehra and father Purhab came inside, they had gone out for fishing 🎣, apparently uncle Mehra loved fishing a lot, so both father and grandfather decided to fish 🐟 today, they came inside but they were not holding any fishes.
The truth of the matter was that, any fish they caught, they let it back into the river, the one close to the farm house, after fishing for more than half the day, they cleaned themselves in the farm house and decided to return home.
Now they are home, and was welcomed with teary eyed wives. Each went closer to his wife and comforted her. After a while each couple went upstairs into their rooms. But as for Lakshmi after about an hour she came back downstairs, and instructed the maids to prepare the recipe and the utensil she would be needing to bake the sweet caramel rolls.
As for the recipe, they had bought them in stock the previous week. When the maids were done, they started assisting Mother Lawksmi to prepare the sweet caramel rolls. Basically they used passed mother Lawshmi with the baking ingredients and utensils by passing it to her anytime she asked for it.
Meanwhile at Yuvi's Pent House....
Alvni was locked in Yuvi's embrace, Yuvi kissed her, he didn't want to part from her so soon, but he knew he had to go home, he was supposed to pick Aunty Mehra and cousin Mehra from Delhi Airport the next day,the following day was also when the final rights of his uncle will be performed.
He knew that if he spent the night with Alvni, he would be so intoxicated by her love and his desires to devour her milky way that he would likely get to the airport late the following day. As they kissed, Yuvi started getting aroused, his member was ram rod.
He gave in and listened to his hard member, after a while, he carried Alvni up, and took her back into their bedroom where they went at it again, for many rounds till it was dark. It was at this point with difficulty that he quickly dressed up and left the pent house. He did not bother to kiss Alvni goodbye before he gets hardened again and stay the night.
He left the pent house, but AlvnI didn't leave, he allowed her stay, he even gave her her own keys to the pent house, and gave her access to use the pent house as she pleases. Yuvi never liked using body guards and drivers, he always drove himself, he believed that the training he got from Bhatt training institute was more than enough for him to protect himself.
Meanwhile at the Mayor's house...
The Mayor was not around, he had travelled to New Delhi for political matters. Madam Shruti was in the Mayor's house because the Mayor's wife, madam Maya had requested her and the other important women in charge of the preparation of the town's women conference to come over and brief her on the progress of the preparation of the town's women conference.
The meeting was scheduled to end by 9 pm, but it was 7 pm at this time. Although, madam Shruti headed the briefs, she was in charge of breaking down the progress so far to madam Maya, the other women who were with her also contributed at one point or the other.
Meanwhile at the Arora Mansion...
Sonal was no longer down casted, apparently she got a surprise earlier in the early hours of the afternoon, Prakash had surprised her, he was back in town and had took her out for lunch, now they were at the Arora Mansion. The only reason he could enter freely and boldly stay even up till this time was because Sonal's parents were not around.
Prakash was with Sonal upstairs in her room while Jasmine was with Kunj downstairs. It was awkward for Kunj and Jasmine at first. Kunj was the soldier who always opposed Prakash back at the military base, but he was assigned to accompany Prakash back home.
Although, Kunj and Jasmine had tagged along earlier in the day with Prakash and Sonal and had free lunch because Prakash took care of the bill, they didn't speak a word to each other. But now at the Arora Mansion, somehow, they both found out that they liked the same breed of dogs 🐕 🐶.
And how did dogs 🐕 🐶 get into their conversation when they hardly spoke to each other? Well it was when Jasmine brought her Magazines about Dogs downstairs to reduce the awkwardness between them. She had the intention to read and ignore Kunj until Prakash leave then she can have her best friend back.
But when she opened the Magazine and started reading, Kunj's eyes lite up. He didn't even know when he stood up after he saw the pictures of dogs at the back of the magazine in Jasmine's hand, went closer to her, and asked her about the magazine she was reading.
That was how Jasmine told him it was Woof-woof dog magazine collection. Although Jasmine had never had a personal dog of her own, she never had any when growing up because her cousin Satish is allergic to dogs, she loved dogs all the same. From one question to the other, finally they discovered they liked same breed of dogs.
In Sonal's room, Prakash held Sonal's hand and informed her that a week from now he and the other selected soldiers will travel to Africa with the Indian troops, specifically to Sudan, North Africa, Sonal looked into Prakash eyes as tears fell down her cheeks. Shhhh.. baby don't cry Prakash wiped her tears with his hands and embraced her, immediately he did that, Sonal began to sob, I will come back safe and sound, don't cry baby, Prakash told her again.
Baby I know about the trip, in fact I was selected by Mehra TV to anchor the military promotion and send off ceremony, am crying because am afraid of losing you, baby the mission is a dangerous one, when I think about what I felt when my birth mum died, that feeling of loosing a loved one is terrible, what if you don't make it back as a general? what if I don't ever get to see you again? what if...
Before Sonal finished her curious questions, Prakash crashed his lips against hers, Sonal returned his kiss, they kissed for a long time before their lips separated, each of them breathed heavily, when they got their breaths back after a while, Prakash told Sonal, baby look into my eyes, Sonal broke out of their embrace and looked into Prakash eyes.
Prakash then placed her hands against his chest and said to her, baby I promise to come back for you, and when I return, we would get married, at this point Prakash brought out a diamond ring from his pocket, he knelt down on one knee and proposed. He said, baby I know this is small, you worthy of more but darling would you do life with me? baby would you marry me?
Sonal who was surprised used her hands to cover her mouths, in a split second she removed her hands from her mouth and said yes with tears of joy in her hands and kissed Prakash. She shook her head as an indication and stretched out her left hand for Prakash to put the ring on her fingers. After wearing Sonal the diamond ring, Prakash stood up, lifted Sonal up and spinned around twice. There was joy, laughter and happiness in Sonal's room.
Downstairs, Kunj and Jasmine who after reading the dog magazine decided to watch Television, Nat Geo wild in particular, looked at themselves and then upstairs wondering why their friends were so happy to the point that their happiness radiated the whole mansion. Kunj then said first, I wish them happiness and I wish us more happiness.
The surprised Jasmine then asked, us? Kunj really? you sound as though we a couple with a future together. Kunj cleared his throat and replied Jasmine, Yes, us Jasmine, would you be mine? would you be my girlfriend, I want to date you Jasmine. Wow Kunj you are so bold and straight forward, but we barely know each other, we just started talking to each other today because we never interacted back at the military base, I only saw you once or twice from a distance.
Kunj took Jasmine hands in his, then looked into her eyes and said, from the first day I set my eyes on you, I liked you, but I didn't approach you back at the base because you were always with Sagar and Sonal most of the time, at a point, I thought you were Sagar's girlfriend, I see the way he looks at you, he really loves you. Oh Sagar and I are just friends, we don't have a relationship, the reason why he was so close to me was because when my ex fiance broke up with me to marry someone else, he cheered me up and helped me forget that bad experience.
As soon as Jasmine said that, she became sad and almost tearing up, Kunj could see the sadness in her eyes and the tears that she was trying to fight back. At this point Kunj brought her in his embrace comforted her, he understood she needed comforting and that she must have had a lot of advice about letting her ex go.
He just comforted her while she was in his embrace, Jasmine loved this about him, he was bold and he knew exactly what she needed at that point. After a while he told her, I will protect you baby, I wouldn't let anyone harm my baby, I will pamper you. At the thought of him calling her his baby, Jasmine blushed and lightly hit Kunj's chest and said to him, you making me shy when you called me your baby.
Kunj smiled and said to her, well if calling you my baby makes you shy, I can stop calling you that and call you my sugar cream instead. This made Jasmine laugh softly while still in his embrace, Kunj laughed too and and wished secretly that this moment last longer. After the laughter subsided Jasmine said, you funny, but give me some time to give you an answer if I want to date you or not.
