Chapter 81: Golden Couples Card
At White Chillies....
The guys sat on one side of the table, the girls sat on the other side, they ordered different indian delicacies, when it was served, they started munching.
During this time, Sonal and Prakash focused on each other, Zara and Pulkit focused on themselves, it was awkward between Jumpa and Sagar while as for Ajay, he ate his meal in silence and being indifferent.
So tell me Zara, would you be kind enough to give me your digits? Pulkit asked. Before she could reply, Pulkit continued...the guys and I would be going back to base very soon.
You know what? hand me your phone, I would save my personal number and that of the base, you can reach me using the base number when am not in town alright?
Zara handed her phone to Pulkit, Pulkit did as he mentioned he would. He also snapped himself unknowningly to Zara, and used the picture as her screensaver. As he handed her phone back to her, he told her the names he used in storing both numbers.
Zara thanked him and collected her phone back from him. Without looking at her phone, she kept it in her bag. Soon everyone finished eating, Ajay this time around took the bill and paid.
Everyone exited White Chillies, except for Prakash and Sonal and this was because Prakash pretended he was looking for something. Did you drop something! Sonal stopped asked and came closer to him.
As soon as he noticed she was close, he embraced her lovingly. I just missed our alone time together he said. Sonal was about to struggle out of his arms but on a second thought, she hugged him back and said lovingly, I think everyone is waiting for us, let's go.
We would go soon only on one condition, said Prakash. And what might that be? Sonal asked while still hugging him. That you become my girlfriend, Prakash replied. Without giving it much thought and just to get away before the others come back inside and see them, she quickly replied and said yes.
Can we go now? Sonal asked. Excitedly Prakash spontaneously locked lips with Sonal before she escapes out of his arms and get outside, by then he would be forced to go out as well. She was now his girlfriend, so he kissed her passionately.
Sonal on the other hand, was not thinking with her head this time around but her heart, one would thought she would push Prakash away and slap him for that kiss, but no, she gave in, she kissed him back passionately.
They continued locking lips up to the point that they became the center of attraction at White Chillies. The spotlight was on them now, they became the next couple on the couples wall at White Chillies.
The couple who got to be on the couples wall in any branch at White chillies must have been a couple who ate at the restaurant and was there for a long period of time, it could be day or night, and afterwards when leaving, spend sometime talking and crown it all with affection and love dramatically, not one that was planned out.
In time past, some couples who got wind of the criteria to be on the couples wall when it was leaked by some workers, tried to pull it off, but they did not succeed because White chillies have the best of psychological and investigative teams who have been doing a great job.
In the end, the default workers were fired, the fraudulent couples were bound from any White chillies restaurant in India and were made to sign a paper stating that if they ever paint White Chillies and her promos in bad light, they would be behind bars.
To merit the couples wall, the criteria was changed over time. The couples' wall automatically meant that each time they visited any White Chillies restaurant anywhere in India, they were treated specially to the specials of the day with discounts and without bookings. All they needed to do was present the Golden couples card that a waiter handed to them.
They had stopped kissing as at the time they noticed the waiter was approaching them. After Prakash collected the Golden couples card from the waiter, as informed by him, they had to follow the waiter to take couples pictures with the manager for their pictures to be placed on the couples wall in that branch.
Some time had passed since the others went outside, although they were waiting for them, they did not worry because both the girls and guys knew their friends like themselves.
For Prakash, he was open with his felling for Sonal, but Sonal was not open with her feelings for Prakash because of her relationship with Yash, the girls understood that.
Pulkit, Sagar and Ajay all waited for Prakash in the cab, they listened to cool Indian tunes, Jumpa on the other hand did not want to be on the Arora car alone so she joined Zara in hers. It was as if Jumpa spoke Zara's mind.
Although Zara came in her family's car, she could have instructed her driver to drive her home but she decided to wait until Sonal and Prakash came back out before she went home. So she didn't mind if Jumpa Joined her. They both listened to Indian cool tunes as well.
Few minutes later, Prakash and Sonal came out hand in hand and smiling at each other. Prakash was holding take aways that was given to them by another waiter as part of the treats that came with having the Golden couples card of white chillies.
As they drew closer to their cars still smiling at each other, Prakash then handed over their take away treats to Sonal. He didn't mind spoiling his love, who is now his girlfriend with love and attention like this.
I will call you when I get home baby, Prakash said. Thanks baby that would be great but remember we didn't exchange numbers? Sonal replied. Prakash hit his forehead lightly with his other hand and confirmed it. Then he said okay baby let's do it now.
They exchanged numbers and also their social media handles. As for the army base number, Prakash didn't have to, Sonal had it, after all her father, major general Gevan was in charge of that particular army base.
After exchange of contacts and social media handles, Prakash hugged Sonal again and Kissed her lightly, she hugged him back and blushed. Prakash then decided to follow Sonal to where her car was parked, to ensure she was safe.
Sonal got to her car, and saw Jumpa coming from the direction of Zara's, their cars were not parked far away from each other. But for that of the guys it was few distance away. Hi Jumpa, Prakash said to Jumpa. Hi Prakash, thanks for bringing my friend safe to her car, Jumpa responded.
My pleasure Jumpa, Prakash replied. Alright Prakash, good night, Sonal said to Prakash and entered the car. Prakash being the gentleman he is, was nice enough to close the car for her. Jumpa entering through the other side of the car closed her door herself.
As Zara's car moved, Sonal's car followed, Prakash waved them bye and went to the car the guys were currently in, and waiting for him. It took him almost 10 minutes to get to the car.
About time you came back buddy, Ajay said, am here now buddy, let's go, Prakash replied. As the taxi moved towards the Singh's Mansion, Pulkit then asked, buddy, what were you and sis in law doing in there? Sagar instead responded to Pulkit sarcastically, buddy and sis in law were perhaps locking lips.
Seriously Sagar! sarcastic or not, you know I don't kiss and tell, if we kissed, y'all will be the first to know. Besides it has been a long day, let's all go home, rest and prepare to go bring our sis, Jasmine home tomorrow.
The reason why Prakash and his buddies were in old Delhi in the first place was to support Ajay and help take care of Jasmine, so he felt his love life shouldn't be the topic of discussion at the moment, he also felt his girlfriend Sonal, needed the protection.
Word could get out, that he and Sonal are in a relationship. He knew that Yash and her were not officially over, so he would want her safety and the safety of their new tender relationship, so he didn't spill his kissing with Sonal nor his identity as her new boyfriend to them.
Although one day her family and his would find out about them, he preferred it to be much later than sooner. 30 minutes later, the cab moved towards the Singh's mansion while they continued listening and enjoying bolly tunes.
As it pulled towards the gates and stopped, Ajay came down and opened the gates for the taxi driver to drive in. He drove in, parked and everyone alighted the cab. Prakash then settled the bill, afterwards the taxi driver drove out and was on his way to his own home.
Ajay locked the gates and everyone went inside the mansion. It was a long day, everyone was exhausted, they already ate at White Chillies, no one was hungry, so they all went to their rooms, took a hot bath and laid on their beds.
Ajay was in his parents rooms, Prakash was in Ajay's room, Sagar and Pulkit decided to share one of the other spare rooms, otherwise there was enough rooms for everyone to have their own.
Meanwhile at the Singh's Mansion....
Jumpa was already home, Sonal had dropped her off, she was now home herself. The Arora family driver pulled and stopped inside the Singh's compound, in front of the front door, Sonal alighted with her take away and went inside.
The driver afterwards drove to the parking lot, parked the car and went to his room in the helpers quarters located at the back of the main mansion to rest and have a good night sleep. He was not the one on duty the next day, his fellow driver was, he was glad he could rest longer when dawn breaks out the following morning.
Sonal walks inside the living room, normally by this time, her mum, madam Shruti usually was asleep, so she decided to go upstairs straight to her room. But to her surprise, her intention about her room was cut short.
She was excited, scared and surprised all at the same time when her father who was waiting for her to arrive called out her name, Sonal dear? Yes dad, namaste, you here! when did you arrive? I didn't know you would be home today, am sorry dad, I would have been home earlier, but Jasmine, she...
Before she could complete her sentence, Major General Gevan, her father interrupted her, yes Sonal I know all about it, how she got her heart broken and was hospitalised thereafter, your mum told me all about it. But what I want to know is, how is she now? is she much better?
Yes dad, she recovered very quickly, thanks to Sagar who like the rest of us, cheered her up, but his really good at it dad, the doctors have confirmed that she would be discharged tomorrow.
Sonal who else apart from you, Ajay and Sagar visited Jasmine at the hospital? her father asked. Sonal replied by mentioning everyone who were with Jasmine in the morning and in the evening.
What about Yash? your mum said he was with you that is why you were not home yesterday. Dad that is true, he was with me yesterday but he had a lot of work to do today so he could not come with me to the hospital after close of work. But he made up for it by ordering take outs for me, his so sweet, Sonal lied in her response to protect Prakash.
She also knew if he was to find out she got the take aways because of Prakash and her kissing scene at that hour at White chillies, he wouldn't let her eat it, and she wouldn't want to force her dad to bring her wedding with Yash closer, not now that she had allowed her heart win. she is now dating Prakash now and not Yash anymore.
