Chapter 75: The name she called out for was Rohit
Prakash, Ajay and Sonal did not have to wait together for long before the doctor attending to Jasmine came out to the hospital lobby.
Doctor how is Jasmine? How is my sister doing? Ajay asked the doctor, almost immediately when he came out.
The doctor was expecting to see madam Shruti Arora at the hospital lobby to sign more papers in other for Jasmine's treatment to continue. As for the bill, madam Shruti had handled that.
The doctor looked at Ajay for a minute before responding, Jasmine is stable right now, but for further treatments to commence, more papers needs to be signed.
Please where is Madam Shruti? we need her for that, the doctor asked. She won't be here in a while, but am here now, am her brother Ajay, I would sign them, Ajay replied.
Alright Ajay, please come with me to my office, I would give you full details of Jasmine's health and what needs to be signed, the doctor replied.
Ajay nodded, and looked at Prakash, Prakash acknowledged Ajay by nodding aswell. Ajay then followed the doctor to his office.
As Ajay left with the doctor, Prakash shifted closer to Sonal, unconsciously Sonal rested her head on Prakash's Chest. Prakash took the opportunity to be closer to Sonal.
He raised one of his hands and placed it on Sonal's shoulders so that she would be comfortably rested in his chest, while he unconsciously assured her safety with him by that simple act.
Sonal was so comfortable that she did not know when she slept off still resting on Prakash's Chest. Prakash did not mind, infact he was delighted and he prayed in his heart, that they stay in that position much longer.
Back at the doctor's office, the doctor carefully explained to Ajay in full detail, the condition of his sister. Jasmine suffered a heart attack, and if this continues to repeat itself, she is likely to suffer a stroke.
She has been stabilized but we would need you to sign here, below for her further treatments. The hospital has also arranged for her to undergo counselling sessions once she is discharge.
But doctor why counselling? Ajay asked as he briefly went though the paper he had in his hands before he penned down his signature.
Yes Ajay, she was conscious few minutes ago before I fetched you to my office and the name she called out for was Rohit repeatedly.
With my level of experience, the reason why she passed out earlier was due to a severe heart brake. She is very fragile now and any more series of heart disturbance will trigger a stroke.
She was administered sedatives and she is soundly asleep at the moment. And I will advice also, to get this Rohit to come down to the hospital now.
Thanks doctor, but that man doesn't deserve to be with me sister, she is in bad shape and all thanks to him, Ajay replied profusely.
You are doing this for your sister, so please do as adviced said the doctor.
He is out of reach, he wont be able to come, Ajay replied. Another alternative is a video call, call him when Jasmine is awake, it would equally help her recover faster.
Please can I see her even for just few moments? Ajay asked. Yes, I would inform the nurse to allow you see her briefly, the doctor replied.
Ajay went to see his sister briefly and came back out to the lobby to meet Prakash and the sleeping beauty peacefully rested on him.
As he viewed them from a distance, his reaction was neutral, neither sad or happy about the couple he left at the hospital lobby. But he did picture in his mind that they look good together.
He then made a mental note to pitch his thought about Prakash and Sonal to his buddy, Prakash. When he got closer to them, he cleared his throat, to notify Prakash that he was back.
Prakash was awestruck with the beauty he beheld that he did not notice when Ajay came back and was standing close to them. Ajay sat down on the long bench after he got the attention of Prakash.
You should take your sweet heart home, she really needs the rest buddy, don't worry about me, I would look after Jasmine when she wakes up and brief you about my discussion with the doctor about her much later, Ajay said.
You sure buddy? Buddy I feel bad leaving you all by yourself, Prakash responded. Don't worry buddy, I will be fine, Ajay replied.
Take care buddy, Prakash mentioned stood up and carried Sonal in his arms bride style. Sonal was so tired but comfortable in the arms of Prakash that subconsciously, she wrapped her arms gently around Prakash's neck.
Prakash then Lovingly looked at Sonal... oh my! she was beautiful to behold. On his way out of the hospital, Prakash called for a cab to take them down to Mehra Conglomerates.
He could not take Sonal to the Arora mansion, didn't want to show a bad impression about himself, he was being careful not to get accused of misbehaving with Sonal.
He could not take her to the Mehra mansion either, his arrival was so sudden, he was not ready to throw his family off balance by bringing a woman home in that state.
He wanted it to be special the day he brings her to his family and not in the state she was in at the moment. Hotels and guest houses were not an option.
Word will eventually get out to his fans, he and Sonal would be gossip news for the entertainment industry, and eventually to his family that he was in town frolicking with a woman which will not be so pleasing to them.
Office hours were closed, he had access to his office, which was kept specially for him. To access the main building, he took the keys from the guard on night duty, to access his personal office, he used his finger print and a password.
He didn't fancy the idea of keys, so before he left for the army base few months ago, he had changed his office locks to be finger print and password.
Sonal slept like a baby, Prakash watched his soon to be girl sleep beautiful like a princess who her maids awaits her waking up from her royal bed. It took Prakash less than 30 minutes to fall asleep on the sofa he was sitting on.
Meanwhile at the Arora Mansion....
Madam Shruti looked at the time, it was already very late, there was no word from Sonal about how Jasmine was doing neither had she heard from Yash.
She decided to give Sonal a call...Sonal's phone rang but no answer, she dialed her number the second time, but same still no answer.
At this point, she concluded that Sonal must probably be with Yash. She then decided to wait for Sonal to call her back whenever she sees her missed call.
Back at the Mehra Conglomerates, Sonal's phone sat comfortably in Sonal's bag in silence mode, Sonal had put her phone on silence mode when they were still at the hospital.
Meanwhile at Old Delhi Hospital...
Ajay was able to get hold of Rohit because he was expecting a very important business call even though his wedding ceremony had already taken its course.
Ajay was able to convince Rohit over the phone to grant Jasmine a video call, after that he made a mental to deal with the traitor with time.
When Jasmine finally woke up at 9:30pm, Ajay called Rohit back, but Rohit refused to pick this time, he had told Sunita about it after Ajay called him earlier.
Sunita then forbade him from calling his ex girlfriend, he had no choice but guiltily refused Ajay's calls. He then secretly prayed in his heart that Jasmine should recover very soon.
Ajay became more furious, as he was thinking of what to do next. Sagar and Pulkit came into the hospital at this time. As Ajay was pacing back and forth, the nurse in charge of Jasmine calmed and comforted her that Rohit would come soon.
It didn't take too long for Sagar and Pulkit to get to where Ajay was pacing back and forth. Ajay was delighted to be reunited with his buddies again.
Though happy to see them, he gave them a question look as to why they came. Buddy we just had to come support you, where is Prakash anyway? Pulkit asked.
He took Sonal home, she has been with Jass here in the hospital, she was overwhelmed with tiredness, Prakash had to take her back to her home.
Alright Ajay but how is Jasmine doing? Sagar asked. It was at this point that Ajay explained to them all what the doctor had said and how he tried to get Rohit to do a video call with Jasmine and how Rohit disappointed.
Don't worry Ajay, I will help you out, I will go in there and calm Jasmine, she would be alright, Sagar volunteered. But I think she should see you first, she doesn't know you here for her right? Sagar asked.
No buddy she doesn't, Ajay replief. He was very much relived now, he then went to put on hospital visiting outfits before he went to Jasmine's room to see her.
As soon as Ajay entered her room, the nurse left. Ajay!, Jasmine cried softly on seeing her brother. Jasmine please don't cry, am here now, as soon as I heard I came down here to the hospital immediately.
Madam Shruti had sent a message for me at the military base. Thank to her and Sonal you were able to get treatments here at the hospital.
Ajay! with tears still in her eyes, Jasmine called her brother softly and hugged him lightly. Where is Sonal she then asked? Sonal has been here to whole time. But I asked her to go home and get some rest.
It's already almost 10:30pm, she will b here first thing tomorrow morning. Ajay replied. Ajay I want to see Rohit, does he know am here? Jasmine cried again as she asked her brother.
Jass, please you just recovered, you don't need stress. I have a surprise for you, just hold on, you won't miss Rohit anymore, infact you wont know he exist.
Jass smiled weakly and asked, what's my surprise then? Just hold on I would go get him. Then Ajay left, Jasmine then thought that by him, Ajay meant Rohit, so she calmed down and expected to see Rohit.
Lo and Behold, Sagar came into the room. Hi Jasmine, Sagar went closer to Jasmine and hugged her lightly. It's so good to see you, am glad you better now.
Jasmine didn't respond, but she felt relived, she was happy to see that Ajay came for her and delighted to see Sagar. Sagar came through with his words, he was able to calm Jasmine down.
He talked about the short time him and Jasmine spent together at the military base. Jasmine smiled when she remembered and laughed lightly when Sagar cracked funny jokes.
His presence and jokes made Jasmine soon forget about the pain of not seeing Rohit in the mean time. After a while longer Ajay came back inside and was pleased his sister was relaxed and happy.
And after few minutes of the three talking together, the nurse in charge of Jasmine came back inside and requested that it was time to allow Jasmine rest.
Ajay and Sager both said their good byes to Jasmine that they would see her the following morning and Ajay specially asked the nurse to take very good care of Jasmine before he and Sagar exited the room.
