Chapter 25: Let's Not Waste This Night
At Mehra Conglomerates.
The representatives of White George Corporations were in Mehra Conglomerates to finalize the contract.
Purhab, Prakash and the rest of the board members where there, but Yuvrag was not because in other to teach Desha about public relations, he had to take Desha to Mehra TV.
He chose Mehra TV instead of the Public relations department in Mehra Conglomerates because Desha will deal more with persons from the TV media.
Mehra TV was undergoing recruitment for entertainment anchor. Yuvrag thought it wise that the person who gets the job should be able to work with Desha.
It would go along way at helping Desha and would save him the stress of missing work. He introduced Desha to some of the media staffs. He continued showing Desha around while he was giving her tips on how the media works.
He made sure that some persons of the media at Mehra TV also tutored Desha but the person who he really wanted Desha to work with was the new recruit.
He or she would be the one to cover the convocation ceremony at Delhi University. He told Desha about it. Desha was excited and inquired of him when the applicant would be hired.
He didn't know himself because he had not informed about it as well, he only knew the role of the lucky candidate.
He told Desha he didn't know but will inquire about it. He went to the Human Resource department and inquired. He was told it would be the next week.
The convocation was not due until November, it was just March at the time. Desha was excited about the latest development. She was okay with Yuvrag's arrangement.
Soon they left Mehra TV. Desha went back to the university to give her latest report on her progress while Yuvrag went back to the office.
When Yuvrag got back, the contract with White George Corporations had already been finalized.
He was happy about the fact that Mehra Conglomerates could seal the deal but he was not happy he missed out on the final deal.
He and his father Purhab has been working on that contract for months, he needed more experience on how to finalize deals.
Prakash was not a stranger to finalizing deals, although he had finalized a deal or two with his dad here at Mehra Conglomerates before, he did alot of that with his best buddies, Pulkit and Sagar at their respective father's companies.
Most of the ropes about business was learnt there as well, he only put his experience into practice when he came back home to his father's establishment at Mehra Conglomerates.
Purhab felt so bad about missing out on the deal that was finalized that it affected his performance at work.
Purhab noticed this, Prakash tried to calm him down and asked their father to give him the rest of the day off.
Yuvrag took it and went to Ritz Bar to cool off. He did not have a best friend because he spent most of his youth working and grooming himself to take over at Mehra Conglomerates someday.
He always felt he was not as good as his elder brother Prakash who is a fast learner. He spent most of the time at the office and Prakash spent less time. But when it came to getting deals done, Prakash got it done better.
He went to Ritz Bar because he did not want his mother to worry. While at Ritz Bar, he drank too much and got drunk. Uncle Ritz had to call Nisha his fiancee to take him home.
He was so drunk that he did not know when Nisha arrived and took him to their pent house. It was a secret Pent house that Yuvrag bought for the both of them.
Nisha was disappointed at her fiancee. It was getting late, she didn't want to leave him there all by himself. So she called her mum that she wants to have a sleep over at her friend's.
Afterwards she called Desha, explained to her that she is with Yuvrag and his state of drunkenness. She didn't want to bring him home to the Mehra mansion because he will be a disappointment.
She told Desha to cover for Yuvrag untill the next day. Lucky for Yuvrag it was a weekend the next day.
Yuvrag woke up with a hangover, Natasha offered him aspiring and water. He drank it and felt better.
Thanks Natasha but how did I get here? You got yourself drunk, my uncle Ritz called me to come get you. So I brought you to our secret pent house.
By the way what happened that you got so drunk to the point that you didn't know when and how we got here.
Yuvrag told Natasha everything about how he missed out on the finalization of the important deal with White George Corporations, that he worked on with his father for long.
Natasha calmed him down that he should not feel bad about it, and encouraged him that more deals will come his way.
At this time it was 9 pm. He looked at the time and said that it was late that they needed to get back home otherwise their parents will be worried.
Natasha told Yuvrag not to worry that they are spending the night together, that she told her mum she was having a sleep over at her Friend's.
Yuvrag then said, my parents will still be worried. Natasha replied and said, no no, I called Desha, explained to her how drunk you were that she should cover for you.
We would be fine. Come on, Yuvi let's not waste this night. Let's enjoy it. What do you want to eat. I will prepare it?
