Chapter 8: We are at the temple
The next morning....
It was 6:30am that Prakash woke up and felt like he was on cloud 9, he had dreamt of his love, in the dream, he saw himself marrying her after a long battle with a strange force that he couldn't recognize.
Prakash grabbed his phone, and stared at his heart, the beautiful lovely lady he used as his screen saver. After staring at his screen saver for a while, he went to the bathroom, freshened, got dressed and went downstairs.
At this time, everyone except Desha was at the dinning table. He greeted his father, mother, replied to his brother's greetings and asked, where is grandpa and grandma?
Oh Prakash, grandma and grandpa went to Udi mountain, they would be back next week replied Yuvrag.
What about aunty and uncle? asked Prakash They are out of town aswell, they would be back next month replied Yuvrag.
And where is Desha? She ate and rushed off to college already replied Yuvrag. At this point his mom spoke up and said, Prakash enough now, have your breakfast first.
Yes Prakash your mother is right, you should eat, said his father. Thanks mom, dad, but I would be fasting today. I will be going to the temple to pray this morning.
Everyone at the dinning table looked at him in surprise and his brother said, Prakash you fast! I never imagined that you will one day fast.
When everyone engage in a fast, you always the first one to bail out, even grandma beats you when it comes to fasting said Yuvrag.
Laughing, Prakash replied and said, am a changed man and don't pester me to give you any explanations, I will tell you at the right time, on my own accord. Ok bro said Yuvrag.
Yuvrag, we should be heading to the office now, ok dad, Yuvrag replied. And Prakash, you should come bye the office before you go off to the Military base Next week, ok dad replied Prakash.
But Darling you haven't finished your breakfast said Lakshmi, darling I have very important documents that needs to be signed today, come bye the office, we would have lunch together replied Purhab.
Yuvrag, let's go, ok dad, bye mom replied Yuvrag. I will also leave now, bye mom said Prakash. Bye boys replied Lakshmi.
Lakshmi decided to prepare for the holy offerings, it wasn't due until next week but because grandma, her sis in-law and even Desha who normally help out in preparing for the ritual were not around, she decided to start early preparations.
She brought out the list of things that were needed to be bought, took some maids with her, got into the car and instructed the driver to take her to Delhi Mall.
Note, the maids were in a separate cars.
Prakash got to the temple almost same time as his buddies. Him and Pulkit were there with the family of Sagar and that of Shoria's.
Sagar's dad rang the bell at the temple and soon the priest came out and the prayers started.
At this time Pulkit started to ask Prakash if he had seen his lover today. Dude we are at the temple, it's time for prayers, let's respect God replied Prakash.
Sagar noticed the noise and spoke up, please guys we would discuss later, but now let's focus, the priest has started the prayer session.
Prakash and Pulkit both nodded in approval and they both joined in the prayer session. When it was time to request of God, Prakash prayed that one day he should be the one to marry the woman he fell in love with.
Soon prayers ended, everyone took the offerings at the temple offered by the priest. Everyone went about doing what they normally do except for the couple, Prakash, Sagar and Pulkit.
The couple went to prepare for their honeymoon destination and Prakash, Sagar and Pulkit went on a tour around the town.
They knew that if they went to their family's company, they would not have the chance to have much fun but they planned on going there to help out before going to report back at the military base.
