2 A new beggining
My flight touches the heathrow airport at 6:00 a.m. It must be 3:00 pm in sydney. Aarrgghhh...!! Why i keep thinking about my home place. London is supposed to make me forget everything bad. With a firm resolve to be happy from now on, i complete all the check out formalities and head for the Taxi.
I soon get a taxi and head to the small hotel i was able to afford.
Summer seems lovely in london.
The temprature is fine with a warm sun and cool breeze. A new place with lovely weather and surroundings has a soothing effect on my troubled soul.
I call victoria, my "freinds' page" friend, from my cell. She picks after the 1st ring and i am welcomed by the loudest shriek i've ever heard in my entire life.
"Yo Baby doll...!!!, So you finally arrive in london. You really don't need to stay at any hotel. Please come and stay with me." Victoria said all this, alongwith the welcoming shriek in one single breath. I wonder how did she achieve this feat.
Victoria,as i have only seen her in pictures and on our video calls, is beautiful with slender figure , blue eyes and reddish brown hair (or maybe that's her artificial hair color).
When i was struggling in my career and in my personal life, i found this shrieking, yelling, over protective angel on "Freinds'Page", an online site to make friends.
" Sorry vic, you know me. I won't be comfortable." I say.
"Ohhkk Mia, i won't push you for now,but soon i will make you agree to come and live with me. I promise. Welcome to London darling. Freshen up and i will pick you up at your hotel in an hour" says the over excited victoria.
" In an hour..??! That's not possible. I am really tired and need to freshen up and then i'll take a nap. Gimme a lil time vic"
" Ok Mia, I understand. It must be really exhausting, both physically and emotionally to face so much, leaving your birth place and with all this shifting. I am sorry. But i wont give you a minute more than 3 hours."
"Haha.. Thanks your highness. But i am happy to come here and equally eager to meet you. See you soon. I love you" i say.
" I love you too baby doll.. see you soon" Says vic and we disconnect the call.
During my struggle, vic (Victoria) suggested to shift to london and she has really been helpful, over the phone, during my stressful shifting. I could never thank my stars enough to bring her into my life. She even suggested to come to sydney to help me with the shifting but I strictly denied. It would have been very expensive and i was in no condition to repay her. Not yet. And so i even denied crashing into her place. It was my decision to start afresh and no one should be bothered or disturbed by my decisions.
I arrive at the hotel in half an hour, after the formalities i am assigned a room. It is sparsely furnished. One single bed with a side table, a chair and a coffee table, a lonesome mirror hung near a very sad looking wardrobe. And a window beside it , which creaked when opened.
What else can you get with a forever empty wallet.
Bathroom had a shower which seemed as if it hasn't been used since installation. I couldn't find any geyser and unexpected but thankfully a clean toilet was in the corner.
So, finally.... London...
