Chapter 73: Sometimes, Different Is Better Too
"Whoa! Wait…" Ning Zhi pinches her space between her eyebrow a bit.
"I do not have red hair. I mean, my hair is black. Why would my hair is red? Pfftt…haha." She laughs a bit and touches her hair. But after she saw everyone expression is seriously serious. She looks at the edge of her hair.
Her eyes almost pop out when she saw it was indeed in red color. But, she did not color her hair before. It was totally black in her world.
"Wait...I tell you guys..my hair is supposed to be black."
Rachael touches her hair too and asks Zoro. "Did my hair color also change?"
"Hm?" He looked up at the girl in front of him. Smiling charmingly he said. "No dear. It's beautiful as before."
"Tch! Don't sweet talk to me." Rachael rolled her eyes a bit.
"Freya, stop it. Everyone knows Yuina is the true King. We all already admitted her as our King." Zane started with a serious voice. He rarely turns into this serious and always with her carefree attitude.
He could see Yuina turn a bit down because of what she said earlier. She comparing Yuina with Ning Zhi just because they had a similar hair color.
"Zane's right. Yuina is our King. Don't say something that misleading us, Miss Freya." Farrell also backing up Zane's word.
Hayden did not say anything but he clasps Yuina's hand and squeeze it gently. Hoping that she will not take it to the heart for what Freya just said earlier.
"Geez...I just kidding. Relax you guys."
Kyra sighing. She really feels like it was a wrong idea to help this arrogant woman's friend. It just ends up hurting Yuina's heart in the end.
"If I may recall. In the Garnet Kingdom, there are tales about a phoenix queen. I don't know about it in details. I just know it is predicted with someone who had red hair too." Hayden looks at Ning Zhi.
"Uhm…but I just a normal girl. I'm no dragon or phoenix. I simply a human being who happens to be transmitted to this world." Ning Zhi denied both of the theory. She is Ning Zhi. She is totally not a beast.
"Well now. What are you gonna do from now on?" Freya back to the three of them.
"Uh..basically say..we have no money, no identity, no home, nowhere to go too. Yup, we're so pitiful." Zoro said while shrugging his shoulder.
"Pffft…If money, identity, and home is your problem, I can provide you that in the Peridot Kingdom. Not a big deal for me." Freya offers them help.
"Oh? Really? Thank you."
"Sure. We on our way to the Peridot Kingdom after all." Freya smile at them.

It almost four days after the incident of how he saw Freya turn into a mermaid. And the dream that he dream before still haunting him each night until now. And each time of it is an erotic dream.
When he wakes up from his dream, he will be sweating a lot and his heart also starts racing like crazy. When it's daylight. He keeps avoiding Freya and sticks close with Yuina. Even though Yuina will mostly fill her time with reading and chatting with either Ning Zhi, Zoro and Rachael about their world.
This time, he went to take fresh air at the deck. Like always.. he can't sleep after having that dream. It does bother him. It's like he had a change of heart. But, he did not love Freya at all. It might be just his lust as a man. That's what he thought.
"It's cool and fresh, right?" A sudden voice from behind his back makes him agree to it.
"Yeah."
"What's wrong? I've been noticing that you cannot sleep and always wake up in the middle of the night." Zoro stands beside him and put his hand on the wooden railing. Let the night breeze touch his skin.
"Nightmare." Hayden just simply answering him.
"I heard you are a great General in your kingdom. A mere nightmare wouldn't make you awake in the middle of the night. Don't tell me a crap, man." Zoro glance at him a bit.
"So you've heard huh?"
"Yup. From Yuina. Is she your lover?"
Hayden shakes his head. "No."
"But you love her, huh?"
Hayden silent. He did not answer him.
"You just remind me as my old self back then. I love this one girl. I'll do anything for her. But then..her heart wasn't mine from the start. So I ended up wounded and hurt pretty badly."
"She rejects you?"
"Worse than that. She marries the one she loves. But she gives me hope before that. I've been waiting for her love for years."
"Did you regret it? The love you showered her."
Zoro smiled earnestly. "No. Not at all. I am happy for her. As long as she is happy then I…will survive and be happy too."
Hayden secretly envies him. He was so kind.
"So did you love that girl? Rachael, was it?"
"Ah~ she's like a new air for me to breathe. I don't know yet, but I like her. She's different from my ex."
"Sometimes, different is better too."
"Yeah...I agree with you. So what about you? Did she know you love her?"
"She knows it."
"And?"
"She hasn't given me an answer yet. But just like you. She loves someone else back then."
"Oohhh..that's tough. We never win against the first love huh?"
Chuckles, he nods his head. "Guess so."
"But that Freya... I could see that she has set eyes for you."
Hayden stop from smiling and turn rigid when Zoro brings up Freya's name.
"She's a mermaid. I'm a human."
"Oh, a mermaid huh?" Zoro rubs his chin a little.
"I heard this from the old tales in my world. A mermaid has its own charm. Each man who saw them in their true form will be having a dream of them. Especially the one who they have set eyes for. I don't know if its real or not."
Hayden knit his eyebrow. Well, it sounds just like what he experience it right now.
"How long the dream will continue on?" He asks.
"Hmmm..not sure about that. Until the mermaid gets that man, I think. It just a way to seduce their mate." Zoro replied it casually before he suddenly scrunches his eyebrow.
"Don't tell me..you having that dream?"
Hayden just glancing at him without really answering him. He also did not want to believe what he just said earlier.
"Oh fuck. That must be a hot dream. That is why you always wake up in the middle of the night, huh?"
"It's not hot at all."
"Ho, then you must be really struggling with your desire huh?" he already giggling.
"What can I do to stop having that dream, anyway?"
"Hmm..why don't you just said it to her that you don't like her. I mean, politely rejecting her?"
"You think she will understand that?"
"Err…I doubt that." Zoro sighs. A few days after he watched all of them, he could tell that Freya is not a simple person either.
She like being a center of attention. She likes to be the only 'princess' among the girls. A possessive type but at the same times, she also did not that vicious.
He could see that she somehow does not have a good term with Yuina. And Yuina is too soft and kind-hearted princess type. It also not good to be a leader with that attitude either.
'Ah~ I pity you, dude. You already in big trouble. I can't help you unless you help yourself.'
