Chapter 24: Humans vary, but most are weak (3)
I say "Alright, let the fun begin." I then dash extremely fast up to Baphen and hit him with my fist, sending him flying at one of the walls and he crashes through it and keeps flying until he hits a tree behind the house. I then walk outside and up to Baphen who gets up and then wipes his lips with one hand because they had some blood on them.
He then says "Wow, you sure do pack a punch, alright then I guess now its time to get this fight really started." Baphen raises his hand and then starts to chant, I am intrigued and let him continue to see what he is doing "Let the clouds change all, let the vision blur and the sight be forsaken, I, Baphen Kisom call upon the powers of illusion by my right as the demon lord of illusions!"
The clouds start to turn dark and then some sort of white mist shoots out of them and enters into Baphen's body he then looks at me and grins before clutching his hand into a fist and the whole ground begins to shake, then what I see next makes my heart ache, the scene changes before my very eyes.
It changes into a dark foggy area, and after a few seconds the fog clears up. In front of me, is Alicia, John, and Timmy all chatting and having a happy time, but then they are brutally killed in different ways. Again, and again, and again, it would swap to them having fun together and then something random would kill them and ruin it all.
One time it was bandits, another it was wolves, and various other monsters as well. I clench my fists and scream for it to stop, but it doesn't, it continues, and gets even worst, making them be ripped to shreds so nothing is left. Then, one particular time shoved me over the edge, this time, they were killed by just some scumbag drunks who got mad at them for some reason.
They killed Timmy and John, but not Alicia, those scumbags violated her time and time again until it was so much that she died, and they just tossed her body aside and burned it with fire magic. This was the final straw, this is what made me, so, damn, ENRAGED!
(View change, Lucy, I'm sure you all know this means shit is about to get real.)
Lucy is watching what's happening from afar, a huge cloud of white mist surrounded Brine and Baphen is just hovering above it smiling, it has been 10 minutes since the mist surrounded him and Lucy is getting a bit worried. But she knows he's okay, and even if she wanted to do something she wouldn't be able to, as she would get destroyed in an instant by Baphen.
After a few more seconds, Lucy sees the mist be blasted away in all directions and then disappear, what she sees next makes her shiver in fear. Brine is standing there, his eyes are glowing bright purple, and he looks like a monster, she can see him physically shaking with anger and his teeth are grinding. Lucy can't help but say out loud silently,
"Well, He's fucked, yep it seems like Brine is gonna absolutely obliterate him, I better back up a bit more, actually maybe A LOT more." Lucy then backs up 30 more steps, because of how pissed Brine is, there's no telling what he may do, also it seems he got his power back so that's even more reason to take extreme caution due to possible aftershock from an attack he may make.
(View change, Back to Brine, thus it begins hehehe.)
Baphen chuckles a bit and then says "Oh I'm sorry, did I upset you by showing you all that, hehe." I laugh like an insane person and then say "OH YOU ARE SO FUCKING DEAD YOU PIECE OF SHIT! YA DON'T FUCK WITH MY PAST LIKE THAT, I AM GOING TO END YOU, AND TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS, YOU, WILL, NOT, ESCAPE ME."
I PAUSE FOR A MOMENT AND THEN CONTINUE "AND EVEN IF BY SOME FUCKING MIRACLE YOU DO ESCAPE SOMEHOW, THEN YOU AND EVERY GOD DAMN SERVANT OF YOURS AND EVERYTHING OR EVERYONE YOU LOVE WILL BE DESTROYED AS A RESULT AND I WILL MAKE SURE YOU ARE FORCED TO WATCH ME DO IT AND THEN KILL YOU AFTERWARDS WITH A SLOW PAINFUL DEATH!"
THEN A NEW SPELL APPEARS IN MY MY MIND AND I SMILE CRAZILY BEFORE SAYING THE CHANT "SHADOW ABDOMEN AWAKEN, STAB WITH YOUR DARKNESS, CUT AND SLASH SO THAT I MAY FEEL SATISFIED AS THE BLOOD OF MY ENEMIES WASHES OVER ME, SHADOW ABDOMEN AWAKEN AND SHOW NO MERCY!"
A PURPLE AND BLACK MIST COMES OUT OF A PORTAL ON THE GROUND AND THEN SPIKES COME OUT OF THE MIST AND STAB THROUGH THE AIR COMPLETELY MISSING BAPHEN, OR SO I THOUGH BUT THEY ACTUALLY HIT HIM AND THE ONE I WAS LOOKING AT DISAPPEARED AND TURNED INTO WHITE MIST AND ANOTHER ONE APPEARS AND HAS BEEN IMPALED THROUGH THE CHEST!
Baphen smiles at me and then says "Well played, I didn't expect you to see through that illusion and attack where I actually was, I see that you're too strong for me, I fucked up real bad, you've probably already beat the shit out of Zemor haven't you? Heh, well I guess I deserve this, at least my son will carry on the legacy, please don't go after him, he's a good kid, although a lot like you and Rein."
Then Baphen coughs up blood and breaths his final breath and the life fades out of his eyes. I leave his body there for his servants to come get him eventually but also leave a note explaining the situation because why the hell not. With that I return to the carriage with Lucy after burying my family and head back home to our manor.
My heart still aches a bit and I also feel slightly empty.
