Ivy already knew Adrian had no plans after high school based on their conversation the other day and that Lydia wanted to be a teacher. She still had absolutely no idea what Carson planned to do with his extensive academic prowess.

As she listened to Lydia go on about her plans after high school she tried to catch whether or not he would think about his. She was in luck.

'I want to be an astronaut but that sounds childish…should I just say I'm planning on becoming a mechanical engineer? I'll probably end up doing that first anyway,' Carson wondered.

That was about the last thing Ivy expected. He didn't seem like the type that had his head up in the clouds.
