Chapter 10: Chapter 9: Aces threat and Vice-admiral Enzo Noble
As Ace was sleeping after days of traveling across the seas and training he was awoken by a knock at the door by one of his crewman informing him that they had just spotted a marine base in the distance and that they should arrive shortly. Ace thanking the man decided to put on some clothes that he asked Capone to get tailored made for him. As ace finished putting on the clothes that were specifically made for him, it looked exactly like Archers outfit from fate stay night except with his jolly roger sewn in on the back of it, he was also carrying his sword Shi no deshi on the left side if his hip so he could get to it at any moments notice. Ace also wanted to take up marksmanship but it would take a couple more years of training before he could get to where he wanted to be, but no time like today to try and get started, so Ace went to Capone and grabbed two pistols from him and placed them behind his back under his coat so no one would be able to see them.
As Ace waited for the ship to get close enough to the marine base the marines were running around in a frantic manner preparing for an attack from pirates that a lookout had spotted. As many of the soldiers were setting up more defenses and were getting their weapons together one marine was running to the center of the base to inform the ex Vice-admiral that had decided to leave the cruelness of the battle feild in the grandline for the quiet and docile east blue. As the marine had burst through the office doors the Vice-admiral was sitting at his desk looking over the newspaper that had just recently been delivered while drinking some coffee, as the Vice-admiral heard the commotion going on down below he had figured something had happened but believed his men could handle it after all who would be crazy enough to attack a marine base anyway. When the Vice-admiral asked the seemingly young looking recruit what was going on he reported that a ship full of pirates was making their way to them as the speak and seemed to not have friendly intentions. Hearing the young recruits words he ordered that they go to full alert and that they all prepare for battle and be ready to kill at a moment's notice, he then dismissed the recruit so he could get ready for the battle himself. When the recruit heard his orders he saluted the man and said "Yes, Vice-admiral". Then he took of running to inform the rest of the men of what their leader and role model had said to him.
Although most marines were just lap dogs for the celestial dragons and the world government this Vice-admiral who was named surprising named Enzo Noble despised having to listen to those snobby rich brats and pencil pushers. What he respected was loyalty and strength and those people who used to come to the grandline had none of them and just demand that he do their bidding, that really got under his skin but as a marine he had to do as he was ordered and indorred the horrible sights of the celestial dragons torturing people and their loved ones for no good reason than to just entertain their boredom.
As Enzo had finished getting ready for battle he stood in front of the mirror in his office contrary to what many may think just because he left the grandline because of all of the useless death this old man was still in tip top shape as his muscles almost ripped out of his shirt and his legs were almost tearing the seems on his pants. Although he was up in age he still looked like a man who took care of himself as he was clean shaven and a scar across his left cheek. But what many of people may not know is that he just wanted to make it into retirement pention so he could finally relax and hopefully adopt a grandchild since he didn't have any kids. Enzo seeing as he was ready walked out of his office and made his way onto the balcony so he could both see off into the distance for the pirates that were coming to attack and so when the battle commenced he would be able to give clear and direct orders so his marines would be organized and be fighting as a unit instead of going rogue and getting themselves killed for the idea of glory and honor for taking another human beings life.
As the ship finally docked the tension could be cut with a knife as the crew aboard the ship was ready for a battle to test out their new found strength and the marines were nervous for their first battle on their own home turf. As ace was standing on the end of the ship atop of the figurehead he pulled out a den den mushi speaker from his coat and screamed at the marines saying "Listen up dickwads if you don't want to die give me all of the money and other treasures you have here and I might just spare all of your lives otherwise I'll just come in and get them myself". Ace seeing the enraged faces of the marines when he finished what he had to say made him start to chuckle, he knew that they weren't gonna give the money and whatever else they had to him but he had to play the part of a pirate so that they would give him a big enough bounty to make a major impact in the world.
As Enzo heard the boys demands he laughed from atop the balcony that it echoed on its way down below to the marines and Aces ship. "You really think your something little boy, well I dont mind teaching you some things about manners and respecting your elders so bring it on or are you gonna run with your tail between your legs".
Ace hearing this old man's response made him laugh so hard it almost brought a tear to his eyes. Ace then said over the den den mushi that he asked for it, and as soon as his words finished he turned his whole body into lightning and faster than anyone could react or realize what was going on, dashed behind the man on top of the balcony and kick him in the side of the head and sent him flying down to the ground below.
The marines seeing this looked as if they all were looking at a monster. He just appeared behind their commander and kicked him with enough force to leave a crater shaped whole in the ground in the middle of their base. Enzo climbing back out of the whole with blood dripping out the side of his head and lips looked at Ace with a smile on his face. "Nice kick kid but you could've put a spin on it or something haha".
"If I did you'd be dead old man but great job on getting back up so soon or else this would be boring now come give me some entertainment or I'll order my crew to slaughter your men and leave you hear with their corpses, so you better give me the fight of your life". With a wicked smile across Aces face the two locked eyes with one another again before they both took off towards one another at full speed causing the ground under Enzo to crack and Ace turning himself back into lightning and speeding straight towards Enzo chest then rematerializing just a few feet away from him so they could both throw a punch at one another to test each others brute strength.
