It wasn't because Serefina wanted to do this, the tendency came to her just like that because this was the only less harmful way to console her crestfallen heart. Separate them and let them feel a tiny bit of her state of hopelessness.
It was unfair and Serefina knew that, but she couldn't help it. After all, she was a creature with feelings and there would be a sudden sharp of painful emotion whenever she watched a pair of mates being together.
This was ridiculous, but also the most humane part of her.
"If there is nothing more, I will go now." Serefina stood up and took her small suitcase. "I don't know when I will return, but after the matter with Kace, I want you to keep looking for your fae mother."
"Why should I look for her? After years of searching, I don't think I will be able to meet her in the near future." Lana let out a mocking laugh, her eyes shone with disgust.
