Chapter 1: Chapter One: The Regret
I walked slowly down the shoreline. My legs are killing me. I wonder how long I've been walking. It feels like forever. Forever, huh, he promised me forever. I shake the thought of him from my mind. I stop walking and stare up into the stars. "I wish there was a way that I could go back in time and change everything. I would have saved him. I wouldn't have been so, ugh. I can't live like this anymore."
I pause- sigh heavily while I throw myself in the wet sand that I've been walking on for hours, even days. I barely even remember what happened. I think I hit my head. It hurts. I start to feel tired. I lay back and look up into the night sky. "Mr. Sandman, come take me. I'm ready. I'm ready to succumb to your poison." I close my eyes and instantly drift away into slumber.
