We were approaching Silverwood Middle School and I was getting more and more anxious. I saw the white double door next to the cream colored staircase in the front of the school. The walls on the outside were painted half white and the other half was coral. I saw windows that went up 4 stories high. All of my friends from elementary school had gone to a school in another county so I knew I wouldn't recognize anyone here. My mom unlocked the car door to our new white Porsche that already smelled of smoke and alcohol, and I got out. I walked towards the doors and saw goths, nerds, geeks, jocks and some people that didn't have a unique style so they just wore anything. No one really made an effort to talk to me by the doors while we waited for them to be unlocked. I didn't mind though, because I didn't actually know anyone. As the doors were unlocked, I saw bursts of color on the walls. There were posters, paintings, drawings and ads all over the walls, so if it was painted underneath, you wouldn't know it. I was walking through the halls with my schedule trying to see where all of my classes were before the bell rang, when a girl in a red striped shirt and white overalls approached me. "Hi, I'm Bridget! I'm new to this county so I don't know anyone. I was hoping that you wouldn't mind being my friend, but it's totally fine if you would rather hang out with your other friends." she said. She seemed like a great friend, and we both didn't know anyone so I decided to accept. "Yea, that would be great actually. I don't know anyone either. I'm Emma by the way. Would your parents mind if I picked you up from school today. You're my first friend so I want to show you my place." I replied. She told me her parents wouldn't mind at all so I gave her my address and phone number, and headed to my first class.
