Chapter 59: Restroom
Lexi felt a shiver down her spine when their eyes meet and he said her name.
Alexander did not leave her gaze. He is holding her stare. "I am engaged to Ms. Lexi Min."
As expected, everyone was surprised. Loud gasps, eyes wide opened and dropping jaws are a common reaction you can see inside the boardroom. Mario smiled and coughed a little to hide his emotions. His friend bold as ever. Whether it is in business or his woman.
"And yeah, I am also very strict and some call me Boss from Hell. But you don't have to worry as long as you are nice to my woman, we are in good terms." Then he winks at her. Lexi turns red.
"I have a meeting in a few minutes. We will see each other at lunch. I have prepared something for everyone. I believe I have to accept a resignation, just not sure." another wink again.
For heaven's sake, is he a teenager?! Winking and smiling and announcing to everyone that they are engaged. What the hell's wrong with him?! She is furious.
She shoots him a warning look and he takes a back step. She hurriedly leaves the Boardroom got her bag from the other boardroom and went to the restroom.
Oh no! She felt that she was embarrased in front of everyone. What will they think of her? That she is here because of connections? Also, the nerve with the man! Did he forget what happened the last time they are together?! He lied to her! Mario Li! Mario Li my ass! Everything becomes so complicated in a blink of an eye.
She digs down her bag and see her resignation letter. She will for sure resign today..now. She can't take this anymore.
She hears some lady employees talking about how good they look together and they deserve each other. But employee said that Alexander Lu is bound to marry an elite like Vanessa Zhang it is just the order of the rich.
She feels sad. So that is her name. The model goddess creatire she saw in his office. She is stunning and gorgeous and there is no even competition compared to her.
When she knows that no one is outside. She leaves the cubicle and as she opens the restroom door she bumped to a broad chest.
Alexander is smiling at her. "What did you do there? Come on we have a meeting about your resignation." He grabs her hand and pulls her to one of the boardrooms.
"You already run away twice. I can't let that happen again" then winks at her. That wink again! What is this? A romantic movie?
Everyone is staring and pointing and whispering. Alexander is walking calmly while she is like a walking disaster. She just smiles and nods to the faces she sees but deep down she is yelling murder.
