Chapter 47: Two Companies
They have their lunch with the C Company operations team. This means more Gerard.
Lexi sticks closely to Rose to give an aura that she is a client and no longer a subordinate of Gerard. She knows that he watches her every move and she doesn't care. She smiles and shakes hand with everyone.
Then unfortunately the executives of W Electronics is sitted in one table with the C Company executives. She is directly sitting in front of Gerard.
Gerard stand and extends her hand to her. "So sorry, I was not able to introduce my self. I am Gerard Kim, Director of Operations. I believe we will be working closely together." He gives a sweet smile.
"No need to be formal, Gerard. We have worked together before and we know each other." Lexi did not move an inch.
It is evident that Gerard was shock when she called him by his name. A strong indication that she is not his subordinate anymore.
"Since we have have worked together, you can just call me Ms. Min. Director Min is unnecesary." No trace of any emotions can he found on her face then she reaches for a glass and takes a sip.
Everyones eyes are looking at both of them. It is obvious that there is a tension in the air. Gerard withdraws his hand and slightly laugh. "Apologies I forgot that we are now have the same position. Seems like you have catch a good man Lexi." Then maliciously smiles.
Lexi glances at Gerard's direction for a second while drinking then smiles, put aside her glass and said. "That's Ms.Min for you, Gerard. You are an executive of C Company which we employ. Also, it is not your damn business what kind of man my fiancee is. Focus on providing good results and we will be good."
Everyone gasps. She is bold enough to scold the C Company's Director. This petite woman who has a stone cold glare needs to be avoided. That's the mindset of the C Company executives. She is the bridge of the W Electronics, one word from her and they can pull out from C Company.
CEO of the C Company nudges Gerard and mouthed to apologise and shut up. Gerard knowing that he is furious obliged and apologizes to Lexi. Lexi again did not bat an eyelash and just nod.
When Lexi glances at Rose she is red and seems like she is angry or flustered. She can't say. When she glances at Lexi direction, she saw hatred on her eyes but in an instant it was gone.
Did she say something wrong? Did she go overboard? She just wants everyone to know that she mean business. Is this a test? Did she not pass?
