Chapter 32: Home Part 2
Alexander walks Vanessa out of his office when he notices the pale white faces of all the people outside his door.
Then the red paper bag caught his eye then Kay.
"What are you doing here? Where is Lexi?" Alexander's imagination is growing wild. Did she see him and Vanessa in a compromising situation?
Kay hesitates but when she sees the anxiety into the President' eyes, she doesn't have any choice. " Ms. Min, insisted in going inside your office. We have tried to stopped her..but.."
Alexander's uneasiness is a surprise to Vanessa. "Who is this Ms. Min?"
She was just ignored by Alexander. " What did she see?"
Kay shivers, she can imagine the reaction of Alexander. "She left after a few seconds inside your office and said that I shouldn't follow her and the food" Unconciously looks at the paper. "....is not poisoned."
Alexander runs and frantically punches the elevator door multiple times while he tries to call someone. "Is Ms. Min there?" Kay reckoned that he might be calling the hotel. "What?! She left?" They can hear loud and chains of curse words from Alexander while the elevator door is closing. "Who told Lisa that Mario is at the hotel?!!!"
Oh no! Lexi might have jumped to multiple and gazillion conclusions. She might have seen Vanessa then Lisa will surely introduce herself as Mario's wife or how can she have an acceas to the Suite.
Mario will be in a big trouble. He should have briefed his wife!
He tried to call Lexi's phone. It is turned off. He texted her just in case she will opened her phone.
Alexander is parctically running to his car, he is aware that Vanessa is calling him. "Alexander! wait! Please Stop!"
He just doesn't have time for anything right now. He is sure that Lexi is now on her way to her province. He needs to tell her everything. Just the thought of her hating him is making him lose his mind.
"It's your Mom!"
Alexander froze. He is about to open the car door. "What happened to Mom?"
"I just received a call. She....she ...collapsed and was rushed to the hospital." Vanessa is catching her breathe.
He unconciously checks his phone 3 missed calls. When he was busy running, hospital is calling him.
It took him 5 seconds before he dials Mario's number. "Get me my plane. I need to go home now."
