Our story begins in the countryside deep inside a mine. Coal is being dug there and the townspeople living nearby have been whittling away at the cold, hard stone for many generations. On a certain day; during a normal day on the job, a man finds himself alone with no one around him, no other voice can be heard, and the only light that can be seen was his. The man was in his mid-twenties, but his face made him look old. His face was rugged and he had a scraggly beard. If you were to take off his clothes you would see how lacking he was in nutrients. His rib cages were almost peeking out. On his back and arms were scars that showed his dark past. His eyes showed hell inside and it makes sense for he has seen it. I will tell you of his past and you will understand.
The man's life wasn't like this at first it actually had a happy beginning filled with joyful memories, but everything changed after the war started. His father the man who provided for them was drafted and was killed. His mom not wanting to go into prostitution married an abusive and disgusting man. This man would mentally and physically abuse the man as a child, but the man tolerated this because if he didn't take the beatings his little sister would be the target and the things he would do to her would be worst than what he was experiencing. The man was eventually drafted and there was a moment of peace. Everything was going back to normal when his mom was hit with a disease. The boy tried to get money, but was too late and his mother died while he was out working.
The man and his sister was still mourning when their step-father came back and started abusing them again. This time though the brother couldn't save his sister and she was raped by her step-father. His sister did not blame the man though she knew that he was too tired from working. The man wanted his sister to escape so he ran away with her taking all the money with them. Again, life was at peace and everything was good. His sister became a maid for a kind nobleman and he found a job in the mines. It was peaceful and they even made families for themselves.
What they didn't know was that the nobleman's son wanted her for himself and was planning to destroy her family. When his father died he took control of everything and started his plan. First he hired assassins to kill the sister's husband then he framed her for stealing from him and put her into prison. In the prison he raped her everyday and abused her in many ways.
The man tried to save her by overthrowing the nobleman, but he found out that he was too late. He found her used body devoid of life, all dignity taken from her. Used as an object to satisfy the nobleman's desires. The nobleman ran away to the neighbouring country taking his sister's children away from them. While all this was happening his wife cheated on him and ran away. His life was truly a sad one. The only thing stopping him from ending it all was his son and daughter. That's why he kept working to give them a good life and that is why he finds himself in this dark cave.
It was in this situation that the man found himself pondering on his life. His childhood filled with pain and suffering, his hope filled teenage years only to have his dreams go down the drain. Heartbreak, suffering, and grief filled his heart and he was tired; tired and angry - very angry. Angry at the world, angry at those that betrayed him, and deep inside of himself, the place where he hides his guilt and his sadness, anger at his own self.
As he was stewing in the dark he starts hearing voices. The voices started as whispers, but as his anger grew so did the voices. Everything kept building up, and building up, and building up until all his anger escaped his lips in the form of a shout. A deep primal shout filled with his dark emotions. Everything he hid, now freed inside this dark cave. The voices go silent and then drums start banging and cracking noises resounded all around him. Then a voice in the darkness whispers to him. "I have heard your call. A deal... let us make a deal. I have the power you need and you have then anger that I need to grow. Let us help each other out". The man was frightened; what did it want from him, can he trust it, was it worth gaining the power, but the voice felt so reassuring and real. No fakeness could be heard in the voice. It truly wanted what he had and it truly had the power he needed. "What is your name…?" the man questioningly whisper. "Furorem. I am Furorem. Nothing less, nothing more". So the man, in his darkest hour, decided to trust in something he thought was his only way out. He made a deal with evil.
