"Nothing". I sigh, why am I suddenly feeling like this? I ponder. Am I having regrets? No! Not at all. It's just...what if.
"Hey baby,". Aryan said and sits. "I'm all ears". He smiles as I walked and sit on his laps.
"What if I am pregnant?". I ask bluntly, not sure how it sounded. Saying this 'WHAT IF ' after this passionate time we just shared now was part of the thing I never wanted to think about today.
" We will raise the baby together". He said. And I wondered if he didn't get what I said.
"Aryan, I am serious". I say, pronouncing each word just to make sure he heard me right.
"I am too, I mean I heard you well, Trace. If you really are pregnant, we will raise the baby after everything is over".
"Here?". I ask perplexed why he suggested raising a baby, instead of cursing or getting angry why we acted recklessly by not using protection during our lovemaking.
" No," he shakes his head. "We will go back to Texas and school, when everything is over, okay?."
"What of your kingdom, will you abandon your throne to return to Texas with me?". I ask, to me, this is the perfect time to talk about this before it's too late, before things become harder that we won't have time to talk about it anymore.
" Trace, I don't want anything to do with that throne, I've thought about it, after dealing with Alaky, there will be no more kindred rule. The people will be introduced to a new political rule, where they get to elect their ruler by themselves like the one being done in your world.
