Chapter 124: Goku Black (4)
A few days before.
Lumina was escorting Natasha half-way to the western continent. Since her presence was currently very sensitive to the world, Lumina had to protect her while covering her at the same time to avoid attracting attentions.
The journey went quite smoothly until Natasha reached a safe zone away from people's eyes. After that they parted ways for Lumina was intending to go back alongside Haruto's group to the southern continent. Not long after the guardian and protegee made their farewell with each other, she suddenly detected an extremely large energy that was very familiar to her.
Although she could recognize the source of the energy signature that belonged to Haruto, she couldn't comprehend how did he radiate so much power unthinkable for the boy she just seen a few days ago.
It was so great that even she felt pressured by it. The most shocking thing though was the opponent the boy was currently facing, it was even far more terrifying than the former, someone completely foreign to her. The battle between two transcendents that did not happen for more than a dozen of centuries furthermore one of them was someone she did not recognize, this fact greatly shocked her.
The most pressing matter was the thick malicious aura the unknown man emitted, it gave her threatening feelings that made her feel so uncomfortable.
She didn't know if the other Transcendents had already sensed them but in her knowledge, they were all decided to watch and see the situation for the time being. She knew the reason was because even they could not afford to recklessly engage the two extremely powerful existences.
As for her? She couldn't care less about that. What's in her mind was the excitement to know what's going on and to assist her future spouse on his battle. With that in thought she moved across the few ten thousands of miles distance with speed rivalling the speed of light.
In just a short moment of travel, she had reached the battlefield, rescuing Haruto from Black's decisive attack. She stood right in front of him amidst the previously boundless sea barren land.
"I guess it's stupid to ask how you get here huh...." Haruto smiled helplessly behind her. There's no need to think on how and why she came to his place. Both he and Goku Black had been causing enough ruckus for the whole world to be alerted.
"Oh, I'm very shocked you know. I almost thought you're hiding your strength all this time and I can't detect it fufufu." She looked back on him with her usual playful chuckles.
"Even I wish I were too but too bad that this is a time-limited special event."
"Really~? That's too bad indeed. In that case I'll savor this superb figure of yours as much as I can hehehe~" Lumina giggled, rolling her eyes around the 'bluey Haruto'.
"Ah right. By the way, who is that funny blackie? No, I guess it's pinkie? Well, whatever." She returned her view to the front.
"....It's a long story. But what's clear is that he's my enemy." Haruto sharpened his gaze.
"Hmm... you made quite an enemy here Haru-tan looks like you're even more insane than me." She joked while assessing the opponent's prowess closely.
"It's not like I want it either but I didn't have any choice.... So what's your opinion? You think you can win against this guy?" Haruto sighed and asked with serious face, moving next to her. He knew Lumina was very powerful but how would she fare against the mighty Goku Black now?
"Weellll.... not a chance."
"...." Haruto widened his eyes Lumina's straightforward answer.
"Right now you're slightly above me in terms of power and even you can't hold a candle to him so obviously I can't too." She sighed. The appearance of unknown party with power greatly surpassing her in this world would cause disturbance in a scale incomparable to Natasha's case before.
'....Slightly below me? Then she's as strong as Vegeta.' Haruto thought with a matter of fact manner.
It seems like no matter how talented she was despite possessing the energy of destruction, there's no way she could match against a true God of Destruction in just a few hundreds years.
"....More nuisance coming one after another. You lowly mortals really do not change at all no matter what world I was in." Black narrowed his eyes. He still remembered vividly about his past enemies that would team up with another when facing him.
"Hey! You were a mortal too!" Lumina protested hearing how Goku Black called them. In her mind, even he should originated from a mortal being as well.
"Kukukuku well fine I guess. I want to see what can you do with the two of you right now. Foolish human dreaming of taking down a god, let me show you the difference in our class and how futile your efforts were." Black put on his battle stance, mirroring Goku's own stance.
Haruto responded by making similar stance. Beside him, the violet hair princess didn't seem intend on making a fighting stance but it's just her style.
"Should I cover you~?" She asked.
"Heh. Sorry to say but even if you didn't come on time I'm still capable of saving myself just fine... KAIO-KEN TIMES TWENTY!!!"
*BOOM!!!*
The double aura effect of red and blue returned on Haruto's body, except it was with more intensity and power. He released the maximum level of Kaio-ken in combination with Super Saiyan Blue, boosting his power sharply.
Lumina smirked and let out her power as well. Her body was gleaming with violet energy, turning her skin to become slightly darker while her entire eyes glowed with purple light.
"That's... the power of a Hakaishin (God of Destruction)? But she's supposed to be a mortal being...." Black widened his eyes. He was capable of identifying the type of energy Lumina used, he was shocked to learn someone had obtained the power of a God of Destruction from his original world.
He once resorted to disgraceful act of killing the weak supreme kais, all in order to avoid fighting them directly because he fears them. They were the greatest obstacle to his plan hence he decided to remove them as early as possible.
Thankfully the him of now was no longer the him of before. He was sure that he wouldn't faze even if he had to face against the infamous Universe 7's God of Destruction. Even so, it didn't change the fact that Lumina's power had made him grew dismayed.
'As I thought, I can't let a single one of them live. Turned your eyes for a bit and they would turn their vile fangs against us, such foul existences....'
Black increased his pressure as he flared his pinkish dark red aura. He descended from the sky to the ground below and stood face to face against his opponent.
*Thud*
Haruto made the first move by rushing through the dried soil. He arrived in front of his enemy with his fist already launched forward towards the latter's face.
Black warded his arm using his own, retaliating with a similar straight punch but was kicked aside by Haruto's leg before the latter rotated his body and delivered a roundhouse kick on his own.
Bending his body backwards, Black dodged the attack as he converted his aura to form a short energy blade on his right hand. He swung the blade with intention to cut his enemy in two pieces. Haruto defended by using both of his hands to catch the pink energy blade.
Signalling his teammate, Haruto stepped to the side as a violet energy wave went past him and struck Black directly.
"Gah!"
He guarded the energy wave and destroyed it by smashing it using his arm. During this time Lumina made her move to the former's side, releasing a horizontal kick resembling a large whip when it nearly struck Black's flank before she realized he had disappeared from her sight.
*BAM*
"Ungh!"
She was hit from behind by a strong side kick, blowing her forward some distances away. Black then turned his gaze to the other party trying to fire another energy attack but he fired his own faster in the form of pinkish energy bullets.
"Tsk."
Haruto canceled his almost charged Kamehameha and dodged the incoming bullets by soaring through the sky. Black once again vanished from sight and appeared right above him, striking him strongly to the side.
Lumina made nimble steps before leaping upwards to catch the launched body of Haruto. In one of her hand, there's a black and violet gun Artifact resembling a futuristic-style revolver.
*BANG!*
She fired the gun, forming a streak of light resembling a lightning that traveled with shocking speed. This time Black chose to avoid the attack instead of facing it directly, he felt that the attack launched using that gun device was far more dangerous than her usual attack.
The violet streak of light hit the star in the far distance on outer space and just in the blink of an eye, it completely disappeared into nothingness.
"Is that your Artifact?"
Haruto asked with amazed face. He felt her energy being condensed in a terrifying rate within the revolver, creating a small bullet containing tremendous amount of destructive energy. Furthermore it was fired with incredible velocity due to it's miniscule size as well as the gun's own exceptional propellants to which even he would have a hard time to evade it.
"Hehe, yup. It's re~ally been a long time since last use Ya-chan so my aim was a bit sloppy tehe!" She winked, rotating the gun on her hand using her fingers which she named as 'Ya-chan'.
Black only gave a short glance to her previous attack before scoffing it. It was indeed a powerful weapon but for him it was still not nearly enough to make him alarmed.
"Lowly mortals... it seems you're getting over in your head just from a slight advantage. You'd better not be so presumptuous."
*Fwip*
"Argh!"
He vanished from sight, appearing behind with his back against them. Both Haruto and Lumina was hit by a powerful shock and dropped to the ground with painful face. In jist an instant Black had struck them numerous times with speed unperceptive to their eyes.
Lumina quickly recovered and made a sweeping kick that was evaded and had her neck clenched by the enemy.
"Gu...." She tried to break free for no avail, the opponent's strength was far higher than her.
"Ugh!"
Haruto gritted his teeth and attacked Black to aid his ally. But then it made his head clutched by the latter's instead. Both of them were immobilized as Black gripped them tightly despite their struggles.
"I hope you finally realized how worthless you are now."
*BANG!!*
He slammed them powerfully to the ground below, causing them to spit out air from their lungs. Not stopping at that, Black proceeded to grab both of their legs and swung them around to smash them countless times.
Lumina fired a sphere of destruction during her momentum of getting swung around. It was guarded by Black with only one hand before he crushed it into particles of light. The current him was very much immune to the energy of destruction that not even a real God of Destruction would be able to destroy him.
But it still caused him to release his grip on their legs as they immediately put their distance away from the enemy.
*WHOOSH!*
Haruto began to channel his power on his right fist, producing a gust of storm made from energy swirling around him. Lumina took out an object from her storage ring of which turned out to be a second revolver identical to the first one.
*BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!* *BANG!*
She dual-wield the two guns and fired a storm of destruction bullets that covered the entire space around Black. It was aimed with incredible marksmanship while also being controlled of their trajectory to make a homing effect that would chase after the target indefinitely.
*BOOM!* *BOOM!* *BOOM!*
Seeing this, Black began to form a shield made from his pinkish energy, blocking all the bullets from reaching him. He didn't realize just yet that Haruto had crept to his behind with his glowing right fist clenched tightly.
"DRAGON....FISTTTT!!!"
He unleashed the almighty attack by thrusting his right hand. A great dragon resembling Shenron emerged from his fist with size several times larger than the previous one he used back on the tournament in addition with the body colored in blue energy instead of gold. It can be seen that the power contained of this Dragon Fist was boundlessly more powerful than before as a result of him using it in his Super Saiyan Blue form.
"Hmph."
And yet despite facing this kind of attack that contained power even stronger than the Black Kamehameha he used slightly before, he didn't show any kind of worry on his face. He even snorted and stuck out his fist filled with his own power.
*BOOOMMM!!*
It immediately shattered the form of colossal blue dragon, blowing it apart alongside the user of the attack right behind it.
"Haruto!!"
Lumina swiftly moved to catch his launched body with concern and agitation on her face.
"Ugh.... Don't worry, I'm alright. His attack did not hit me directly." He responded with a groan but seemed to be fine. It looked like he was more shocked of seeing Lumina's worried expression and the way of calling him rather than having his ultimate attack easily defeated.
"....How persistent. Your meaningless struggles started to annoy me, mortals. Why don't you just accept your death peacefully?" Black seemed vexed, he didn't expect them to be so durable and tough. If possible he would not like to use so much power the way he was now.
"Heh heh. I'm fine to resist many more times if I can see that annoyed face of yours." Haruto chuckled.
"Damnable mortals...." Black's anger was ignited as his brows furrowed dangerously. He no longer care on sparing his reserve, intending to end it with one strike but then...
"WAIT!!!"
"!... You!?"
Black was taken aback by the loud voice coming from nowhere. He moved his gaze and found a very beautiful woman in white dress.
"Eisha!? Why are you here!?"
Haruto was even more surprised as the person who just came was the same goddess he's very familiar with. All this time he thought Eisha was unable to materialize herself in the world so this sudden situation greatly shocked him.
Eisha cast a short glance on Haruto before returning back on facing Goku Black while having serious expression. She was secretly relieved to see the boy was alright and she made it in time.
"Ei..sha? Eisha as in THAT Eisha?" Lumina caught Haruto calling the unfamiliar person as the greatest deity of the world. She wanted ask for more but realized it wasn't the time so she could only swallow her curiosity. The main reason of her puzzlement was because Eisha's appearance being different than the one she knew of.
"....Zamasu, Stop your actions at once." She said.
"....And if I won't?"
"Then I'll personally stopped you once again just like 'we' did before."
".....Kukukuku.... Hahahahaha!"
Her words caused Black to grow silent for a while before he began to chuckle and laughed.
"Do you think you can fool me? I know you and that old man had spent most of your power by sealing me in that accursed tower. I can see you're restoring some of your power but sad to say in addition with you being along right now it's not nearly enough to stop me once mo--" Black couldn't complete his sentence before Eisha interrupted him with unfazed expression.
"Oh really now?"
"...What?" He raised his eyebrow.
"It is just like you said... both me and Zalama-sama had spent our entire power in order to stop you. The current us are extremely weak with me being alone too right now."
"...."
"But I can assure you that if I used my own life force as energy, although it still couldn't hold you for long, it was enough to immobilize you until 'we' thwarted all your ambitions....."
"....Are you serious?"
"If you won't change your mind then I have no other choice. I can't let Haruto-kun die here even if I have to exchange my own life for it." She said with resolute face.
"...."
Black glared at her full of hostility but Eisha did not avert her eyes and stared back at him with powerful gaze. The two of them started to glare on each other in silence, filling the air full of tension and pressure. Eisha was secretly preparing to convert her life force seeing the enemy didn't seem intend on backing down.

"Okay, stop right there."
*Smack!*
"Ow!!!"
A karate chop landed on the goddess' head, causing her to yelp and writhe in pain. She turned her head against the direction the chop came from and was shocked.
"H-Haruto-kun!? What are you doing!?"
"That's my line, what are you doing?" Haruto stood nearby her without her knowing.
"What am I doing? Can you see I'm trying to save your lives here!!?" Eisha yelled with angry face.
"Save my life? Oh please. I'm not even admitting lose yet. This is my battle, can you not interfere with it?" He snorted.
"....Haruto-kun, you...."
"I don't know what happened between you and him but just watch from the sidelines and trust me, I'll win for sure." He walked past her while patting her shoulder as if to assure her.
"...."
Eisha was silently watching him walked past her with dazed face. She didn't know why but although her logic told her to stop him but remembering the warm feeling on her left shoulder, her voice stuck on her throat.
"Fufufu, well said. But although you said all that can you really win? Against 'that'?" Lumina moved to his side and praised him with curious face as she pointed the opponent waiting ahead.
"Hmm well... It might be tricky and full of risks but I do have a way to defeat him. And to do that I'll require your help."
He said with fearless smile before moving his head near Lumina's ear and whispered to her. After hearing what he said, Lumina's lip curved upwards as well, smirking with amused face.
"How interesting...."
