Chapter 4: Going To The Backroom
I read the note. RM has nice handwriting, I found that a little shocking given English isn't his native language, and even if it was, men often have bad, almost illegible handwriting. The note said they were ready backstage and to follow the staff member. They had wanted to get comfy which I understood, let them stretch out and everything too.
"This way, please," the staff member that had brought the neote said and he began walking away.
I followed him, BTS were sitting on chairs as other staff members were running around beginning to clean up. Almost all of them stood up when I entered, Suga stayed seated. I smiled at them. They were so cute.
"Thank you." I said before thinking. They looked at me confused. I picked up on it quickly, realizing that I had spoken aloud. Before any of them could say anything I answered their unspoken question. "For being cute, for being gentlemen, for being you, and for deciding to spend the little time you guys get to rest on hanging out with me."
They looked at me and smiled. RM stepped forward, I smiled again; I figured that I would be doing a lot more talking to him. "We're happy to do it."
I pushed some hair behind my ear and looked down shyly. "Don't get me wrong, this is a dream come true and I'm incredibly happy, but why?" It was just eating at me, the curiosity. Their schedules are usually so crazy, why would they want to chill with a fan they don't know? I couldn't be very different from other ARMYs.
"You came all the way from the U.S. to be here. You came just to have us sign our album. Not many do, and you seem different than the others that did come before."
That made me smile shyly again. "How much time do we have? To hang out, I mean."
RM looked at a staff member and said something in Korean, which I assumed that he was asking them my question. He looked back at me after a little while. "They said that 'we'd only be here for a little while more', but we have lunch after this, if you'd like you could join us."
"I would love to, but I don't want to make you guys feel obligated to offer, just to lengthen our time together. I'm happy just reading my letters to you guys and taking some pics together if that would be okay?"
"Oh yes! I want to hear my letter!" Taehyung shouted, getting excited.
