Chapter 7: Chapter 6: Stay Alive
A pistol rang out, Directly about to hit Franziska.
Li, who was trying to save herself and her sister, accidentally took the bullet.
Suddenly, Manfred started to get hurt.
"Get her to hospital, Quick!"
Manfred can barely speak but managed to get it out.
"Stay Alive" were the only words that rang out in everyone's mind.
"Where is my wife?!"
Miles' eyes started drenching in tears.
"Mr. Edgeworth, please stay calm, they brought her in an hour ago, when she reached here, her wound was already infected."
The doctor stated.
"Can I see her, please!"
Miles started crying.
"Prince Edgeworth, we are doing the best we can."
The doctor looked at him with pity.
"We are also in pain, Prince, our life is also on the line here!"
The doctor escorted Miles to her room.
"Li!"
Miles shouted as he ran to her side.
"Miles."
Li looked at him weakly.
"Juliana!"
Manfred entered her room aswell.
"Papa!"
Li tried to get up but failed.
"I did exactly as you said, Pa, I protected my sister."
She smiled, even through the pain.
"Shh, I know, I know, Shh, I know, I know."
Manfred caressed his daughter's head.
"I kept her just fine."
Li's Eyes started to loose color.
"You did just fine!"
Manfred smiled at her.
"Fine..."
Li's tone got weaker.
"Shh, I know, I know, shh, I know, I know."
Manfred started tearing up.
"Save your streangth and stay alive!"
Manfred suddenly looked towards the door to reveal Eliza and Franziska.
"Is she breathing?! Is she going to survive this?!"
Eliza looked towards pulse monitor.
"Who did this?! Franziska do you know?"
Manfred looked towards Franziska.
"Mom, I'm sorry for forgetting what you taught me"
Li looked towards her mother.
"My dear."
Eliza smiled at her.
"We played guitar"
Li smiled.
"I taught you the guitar."
Eliza giggled.
"You would put your hands on mine"
Li's hands started to fall slowly, pulse becoming slow.
"Shh, I know, I know, Shh, I know, I know."
Eliza Caressed her face.
"You'd change the melody everytime"
Eliza said.
but no reply was given.
Li had her eyes closed, Breathing steady.
Back at the palace, Li was resting on her bed, Miles by her side, Kissing her forehead, when her eyes fluttered open.
Meanwhile, Manfred was scholding Franziska.
"Congratulations, Are you happy? You always talked about how much you wanted Li's things, You are the oldest Franziska. Be grateful!"
Manfred looked at his daughter.
"You don't know what your sister has done for you, Huh?!"
Manfred started shouting.
"You're wrong Papa! I KNOW MY SISTER LIKE I KNOW MY OWN MIND! WE WILL NEVER FIND ANYONE AS TRUSTING OR AS KIND."
Franziska Protested.
"When she said, a million years ago that Miles was hers, WHY DIDN'T YOU STEP BACK?!"
Manfred was so angry, He just sat down.
"Papa, don't be mad at Sis."
Li walked in the room, Miles supporting her.
"Little Li, you're supposed to be resting"
Manfred's eyes softened.
"Papa, I love my sister, more than anything in this life, I will choose her hapiness over mine, everytime."
Li looked at her father.
"Alright, Let me talk to your sister, Miles will take care of you."
Manfred said, as Miles took Li somewhere else.
"Juliana, is the best thing in our lives, so never loose sight, that you have been blessed with the best sister!"
Manfred's cold stare went back to Franziska.
"Congratulations, EVERY SACRIFICE YOUR SISTER MAKES IS FOR YOU TO HAVE THE BEST LIFE!"
Manfred went to the door and slammed it as he left.
"Franziska, Darling, Keep in mind, if Little Li dies, we die, if Little Li gets hurt, we fall.
everything is in her hands."
Eliza sighed as she left the room to calm Manfred down.
