Chapter 6: Chapter 5: Calling it off
It was the biggest day of Franziska's life, never has she imagined that she would be marrying the love of her life. She had always thought marriage was about love, and she was right, atleast, for herself.
"Princess, do you take this Prince as your king?"
"I do"
"Prince, do you take this Princess as your Queen?"
"I do"
"You may kiss the bride"
Miles kissed Franziska, for the first time, she looked at him to see so much passion in his eyes.
5 months ago, before the wedding, after their little chat by the pound. it made Li realize she was starting to fall for her opposite.
When she got back to the palace, she ran to her sister's room.
~Flashback~
"Franziska! Franziska!"
She entered
"What is it now, Little Li?"
Her sister faced her with a smile.
"I feel so helpless! I think I'm starting to fall for Miles."
Li smiled, No one has ever seen her smile this wide, aside from her sister.
"Little Li, I have to tell you something."
Franziska looked at her sister.
altough she knew it would hurt her, she knew Li would lie to keep her happy.
she had to tell her.
"What is it?"
Li looked at her.
"I love him, I love him too"
As Franziska spit the words out, Li's eyes and smile dropped.
"Li, are you okay?"
Franziska tilted her head.
"I'm fine"
Li ran to her room, crying.
"Why did I do that?"
Franziska picked up her book.
"Franziska, Li will no longer marrying Prince Edgeworth, you will be the one who will take her place, she called off the marriage saying that you and Miles fell in love with eachother."
Manfred looked at her while they were eating dinner.
Franziska's eyes widened as she realize her sister wasn't eating her food.
"Mama, Papa, Sis, please excuse me, I need to clear my head"
Li sighed as she stood up and the guards escorted her to the garden.
all of a sudden, a huge pain went through Franziska's heart.
"Little Li is sad..."
Eliza, their mother stated.
"What would have made her-"
Manfred then realized it.
"She will choose your happiness everytime."
Manfred sighed as he continued to eat.
"Hey, Miles!"
Li was happy as she entered the garden to see him.
"Little Li!"
Miles smiled.
"I will not be marrying you anymore, Franziska will take my place, I hope you-"
She got cut off.
"You strike me as a woman who's never been satisfied."
He looked at her, shocked, why did she call of the marriage? So many questions were running through his mind.
"I'm sure I don't know what you mean."
Li looked at him, but in reality, what he just said, was true.
"Why did you call off the Marriage?"
He asked her.
"I love my sister more than anything in this life, I will choose her happiness over mine everytime"
Li's eyes started to fill up with tears, glistening more and more with every breath she takes.
Franziska heared of this. Tears flowing in her eyes.
"Juliana, is the best thing in my life"
Franziska whisphered to herself, wiping the tears while stepping out to the garden.
"Hi"
she said.
"That's my cue to leave, Good bye Miles"
Li turned around, trying not to break.
"She will never be satisfied."
Miles looked at Franziska with all the disgust in the world, and vanished.
~End of Flashback~
"Alright, Alright, that's what I'm talking about! now, may I call the maid of Honor, Juliana von Karma!"
Klavier called Li to the stage.
"A toast to the groom! To the bride! From your sister, Juliana, who's always by your side! to your union, to the hope you may provide, may you always, be satisfied."
After those words, Franziska started crying, which stopped the whole time.
"I remember that day, I may just regret day for the rest of my days, I remember that heart breaking momment."
Franziska's tears dropped by her face. she held Li's face and sighed.
"I want to rewind time, you love me too much, Little Li."
Franziska, quickly ran to Mile's side as time went back to normal.
"And I know, she'd be happy as his bride, and I know-"
before Li can finish that last sentence.
"I know my sister like I know my own mind, you will never find anyone as trusting or as kind, and a millin years ago, she said to me 'This one's mine'."
Franziska pointed to Miles.
"But she stood by, do you know why?!"
Miles shouted at Franziska.
"Your little sister loved you more than anything in this life, she has chosen your happiness over hers everytime!"
Their Mother sighed.
"Juliana, Is the best thing in our life! so never loose sight that you have been blessed with the best sister!"
Manfred looked at his oldest daughter.
"To the groom!"
Franziska shouted as used her magice to make Li wear a wedding dress instead.
"To THE Bride!"
The spotlight went to Li.
"From your sister! who is now by your side"
Miles walked towards Li and Placed the ring on her finger.
"It will forever be yours"
He kissed her and smiled.
