Chapter 107: The Trap

It was 3am by the time everything was settled and smoothened out.

Which was a record, really.

The reason being was that Kai was practically working non-stop, rushing through yet being as meticulous as he always was.

Zayn was surprised at that, truthfully.

He had thought that Kai's performance would deteriorate once he got together with Lianne. He had even set aside some time to try to get through to her, so Zayn had thought Kai would be so distracted by that, that he would not work well.

Yet, it was the opposite.

He glanced at Celine, the woman who seemed like the cat who got the cream.

Why wouldn't she think so?

After all, she was one of the bride candidates the Shengs got for Kai.

She was one with brains, as her position in the company as the Sub-Head Division of IT, showed. She got there not by the ties of her family but her own ability. Her family background was also impressive.
