Chapter 8: Paragorn in 40k

Once back in his home universe, the Dragon Ball Universe, Paragorn had taken to hiding himself on an uninhabited planet, which he made capable of sustaining life with the Reality Stone. He did this because he wanted to evade the attention of the God of Destruction Beerus and his attending angel Whis. At this point he was strong enough to fight Beerus to a standstill, but still woefully underpowered to take on Whis. He wanted avoided them at all cost, because he did not, under ANY circumstances, want to attract the attention of Grand Zeno.

So to that end, he first checked if the planet he was on was not a Super Dragon Ball. After that, he'd turn it his own planet where he'd further his research of Forerunner technology and manufacture weapons, ships, vehicles and the like, because he had a suspicion that his final Infinity Trial would be harder than any one that came before and he could use any advantage he could use. In order to shield his planet from outsiders, he travelled to Namek and, with permission of the Namekians, collected their Dragon Balls and used their wishes to shield his world from any outsiders. After that, he thanked the Namekians for their help and left Namek as he had promised them. This was years before Freeza had ever set foot on Namek. It was in fact the same year in which Freeza would destroy planet Vegeta.

Once back on his world, save in the knowledge that he was safe from any outsiders, Paragorn continued on what he had started in the Berserk Universe. So he starts out by creating various alternate dimensions, similar to the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he used one to train and hone his new powers and the other ones to further his research and development of Forerunner technology and create a vast armada. He had come to the decision that the Dragon Ball universe is not suited for him. He wanted to become the strongest in the universe, but to do that entailed taking on the God of Destruction and that entailed becoming an underling of Grand Zeno and that he did not want. So he decided that his final Infinity Trail would be where he put down his roots and become an undisputed powerhouse of godlike power there.

From time to time, Paragorn would leave his world, which he had affectionately named Tatooine on account of it being a scorching hot desert planet that was part of a binary star system, to search for interesting trinkets to take back with him. On one of those trips, he encountered a Freeza Force invading a planet. Not willing to let this stand, he defeated that whole Freeza Force by himself and the million copies of himself that conjured into being. After that Freeza Force was annihilated and the planet's population rescued, he took their ship with him back to Tatooine for salvage. Though the ship was vastly inferior in technology to the Forerunner technology he had at its disposal, he did take the healing pod and analyzed it to create his own version of it. And so he lived out his days in this universe, avoiding the big players and keeping a low profile until he could leave permanently.

And this went on for the 15 years, until one day in the midst of intense 500 times earth's gravity training, he received a message from his system stating that the final Infinity Trial was coming. So he packed up all his belongings and stored everything inside his inventory, which were entire star systems worth of stuff, and set about destroying everything that marked his presence in this universe to make it as difficult as possible for anyone and anything to trace him. In the weeks before his departure, Paragorn and billions of his copies he had conjured had been busy packing his stuff while billions of other copies were busy with demolition work. They had rigged explosives throughout the planet's crust to detonate after 28.6 hours, or 1 Tatooine day. And every day that they weren't ready, they'd reset the timer again and again and again until the fateful day had come wherein he gave his ascent to his system and he disappeared from there. In his absence, the timer on the apocalyptic explosive devices had run out and exploded, turning his Tatooine into a hellscape of molten rock and a sky thick in a blanket of ash and rock and dust for centuries to come. But in the end, all erased traces of his presence were erased from the planet.

Once he had materialized again, he found himself on the bridge of his personal ship. In front of him a manifestation of the One Above All appeared and he immediately knelt before him.

"Hello Ray, are you ready for your final trial?" Said the One Above All.

"Yes, I am ready." Said Paragorn resolutely.

After that, the One Above All went on to explain that he was now in the universe of Warhammer 40k and that his trial this time was to collect 10 crystals to form a map that would indicate to him the location of the Soul Stone. But this time, for a payment of 10 times as many crystals each time, Paragorn could change certain settings and/or request specific and/or broad information on topics he wished to know. So that was how he had come to this horrible, horrible universe. When all was said and done, Paragorn was tasked with collecting 10,000 crystals to find the Soul Stone. And like before, he started out by establishing his base of operation from where he'd operate out of. And like in the Berserk universe, he did this by making a separate dimension that only he had access to that was connected by a gateway to the Warhammer 40k universe. And in this separate dimension, in which he was lord and master, he made it to be completely inimical to the Warp. And to minimize any and all possibilities of intrusions, he first went out in search of a rocky dead planet that had no presence of any of the races of the milky way galaxy nor any tectonic activity. When he found a suitable planet, from the bridge of his ship he used his Reality Stone and shrank it down to the size of large orange and took it with him. Opening a portal that swallowed his ship, he transported himself and his ship far, far, far away from the milky way galaxy. In fact, he transported himself towards the nearest galaxy, the Andromeda Galaxy. There, he sought out a suitable donor star system in which he could place the planet he had just taken with him and when he did he placed it there in the same orbit of a rocky planet of similar size and mass but at its other end so as to minimize gravitational interference.

After that he landed on his chosen planet and drilled down all the way to its inert core and all the while closing the shaft above him. Once he reached the core, he emptied it out and created an empty void inside the core with a diameter of 10 ft. (3.05 m). And inside this empty space, he created the doorway to his alternate dimension. What he made was a sphere of utter darkness that hung in the center of the empty space. And he changed the very planet itself to ensure that it wouldn't collapse into it the empty space he made and disappear into another dimension.

From there, he went to work on once again creating the alternate dimension. But this time, he went big. So big in fact, that he created an alternate dimension as big as an entire universe, replete with galaxies, star systems and planets, but no life. One of the changes he made to his alternate dimension was to make it completely inimical to the Warp. The Warp could not enter into his alternate dimension and if any inhabitants of the Warhammer 40k somehow found their way into his personal dimension, they would lose all connection to the Warp. What would happen to humans and Eldars and other kinds of beings that had a soul if they found their way there is they would feel hollowed out. This manifest in them as though they have lost a piece of their soul. But over time, they would eventually acclimate to it and be none the worse for wear, depending of course on how strong their connection to the Warp was to begin with. Unlike the Necron's Pariah Nexus that actively silences the Warp in a given area and drains the souls of those in it leaving them as nothing but soulless husks. With Paragorn's alternate dimension their souls wouldn't be drained, the fact that they have bodies of flesh and blood would keep their souls contained. But upon their deaths, with their body no longer containing the soul, their souls would dissipate into nothing. What this would mean for the nigh endless swarms of the Tyranids if they'd entered is that they'd lose all connection to the Hive Mind that controls them and they would turn into feral beasts. As for what this would mean to the creatures of the Warp, if they found their way there, their bodies made of the stuff of the Warp would disintegrate and their essences would dissipate into nothing. So for the daemons of Chaos, setting foot in Paragorn's personal dimension would mean nothing less than True Death. The only ones that wouldn't be effected by the absence of the Warp in Paragorn's alternate dimension would be soulless the Necrons and the C'tan star gods.

When he entered this universe, he had no prior knowledge of it and when the One Above All had offered him all the knowledge about this universe at the cost of collecting 10 times as many crystals, he had taken it. And when he learned about it, he made up his minds to make his alternate reality as no go zone for the Warp. After that, the second thing he asked the One Above All to make him have no connection to the Warp and make him immune to it corrupting influence. The third thing he asked the One Above All was to grant him powers that would let him grant True Death to the daemons of Chaos. And the last thing he asked the One Above All was to ensure that these crystals he would be looking for would not in the Warp.

Once that was done, he exited his alternate reality and returned to the Warhammer 40K universe. According to the One Above All, it was 789.M39 when he arrived in the Warhammer 40k universe. It was now 744.M41, it took nearly 2 millennia of constant work for Paragorn to create his alternate reality and to set up a vast array of manufacturing worlds, research and development worlds, shield worlds, military worlds, residency worlds and more to create a massive network that would keep all these world running smoothly and in communication with one another through the creation of a vast ancilla network that was overseen by Serene Bias. But he was not done yet. When he returned to the Warhammer 40K universe, he started to set up a vast scanning arrays across the planet that housed the gateway to his alternate dimension that was in constant contact with him and Serene Bias. If there was ever an invasion of this star system than they could react immediately to it with overwhelming force and force them back. But besides the scanning array, Paragorn had set up nothing else so as to not attract any needless attention to his gateway.

Once he was truly done with the set-up of his alternate reality/ base of operation and its security did he begin collecting the crystals. The first crystal for him to collect was in the year 900.M30 on the world of Caliban, the home world of the Dark Angels legion and their Primarch Lion El'Jonson. Opening up a space and time portal, Paragorn travels back nearly 10,000 to the past and 2.5 million light-years to the Milky Way galaxy.

And that was how Paragorn had started on his final Infinity Trial. It had taken him approximately 4500 years to complete his journeys across the Milky Way, through both its future and its past. And through all of it, he fought against nigh on every enemy that the Milky Way Galaxy had to offer and through his absolutely overwhelming power garnered a great number of followers amongst the thralls of humanity that had given up hope for a better tomorrow. And very surprisingly, he even managed to garner followers amongst the Eldar when he had brought some of them to his alternate reality and they found out that the ever looming threat of Slaanesh devouring their souls was no more.

When all was said and done and he was the undisputed master of his universe, he settled down to oversee a resurgence of humanities and the Eldar's second golden age. Where the Emperor of Mankind had failed, he succeeded. Where the Eldar had ruined themselves, he kept a watchful eye and ensured that there would no second Fall of the Eldar. Outside of the Eldar and humanity, he even liberated some alien species that had managed to avoid the genocidal Imperium of Man and desired for nothing but a peaceful life away from all others. Some of those alien species he brought with him to his universe and others he helped settle down in other galaxies.

One day, long after his success, he pondered whether he could assist other versions of himself. He was currently on his private nature reserve planet enjoying the unspoiled flow of nature when this thought popped in. So he asked his system if other versions of him would come to the Warhammer 40K universe. His system's answer was that it was possible, but only a limited number of other versions of him could be helped. But in order to do that, he would have to sacrifice all remaining 7.6 billion system credits that he has accrued over his lifetime. After much pondering, Paragorn decided to sacrifice his remaining system credits. The thought was that he had already won, so why not assist other versions of him in achieving victory.

So with that, he paid 7.6 billion system credits and created 100 versions of his alternate universe across 100 versions of Warhammer 40K universes. Before he did it though, he spoke with Serene Bias and told it what he was planning on doing and what it would mean for it. When he was done, he had created 100 versions of his universe at the moment that he had finished creating it. The moment one of his other versions would enter a Warhammer 40K universe that had this alternate universe and that version would use the Space Stone to open a portal to somewhere else, the portal would be hijacked and redirected towards the alternate universe for the accept or not accept ownership of this alternate universe.

"And that, Reclaimer, brings us to this moment." Said Serene Bias as it had finished recounting the tale of its creator and how it was possible for Mesa to be here.
